"My parents where killed before I got here..."
she seems to spiral into a depression
English
-
Kozak grimaces and climbs down from the turret. He sits next to her and puts his hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's alright, they died so that you could live, and you'll always have them in your heart. As long as you remember them they aren't really gone."
-
she doesn't speak, yet tenses when he touches her, she continues to stare out at the dwindling crowd of protesters
-
He lifts his hand as she winces, apologizing. As the crowd dwindles the soldiers push them back one final time and begin to trickle back. Just the wounded at first, then the rest follow.
-
she watches as Pavel and the rest of his squad return, while she shifts slightly to get comfortable
-
Pavel mans the turret and Kozak stands as the door on the APC shuts and the vehicle moves once more.
-
she looks over at Pavel, not knowing who he was, hell, even who any of these men where, or where she was being taken
-
Kozak shouts over the noise of the machine. "Do you have a place to go? Where can we take you?"
-
"There's no where for me to go, no family in the City anymore"
-
Kozak scratches his head and speaks to Pavel. They clearly are confused on what to do. Pavel looks down at her and says. "The city isn't safe, that much I do know, tell you what, you're old enough to enlist, how about you come with us to the base. I can't take refuges but prospective trainees get food and rooms."
-
"What do you mean? Who are you people?" she gives him a confused look
-
"We are soldiers, kinda like your grandfather. In fact the ultramarines are at our HQ right now. We're not as large as them but we can still get the job done." Kozak answers without really answering, looking at Pavel. "I can explain more later."
-
she looks between the two, but keeps her silence, not knowing to trust them or not After a while, she eventually falls asleep
-
When she wakes to Kozak shaking her they are in a metallic military facility, brimming with activity. The two are alone in the APC. "Hey, we're here."
-
she shifts slightly, then looks around, then at him "And this is where?"
-
"The Tower, headquarters of Task Force 74. The best of the best serve here, so you're safe. Director Pavel, the man who found you runs a tight ship, you don't have to worry about the soldiers here. He left me to show you around the places you're cleared to go."
-
she sits up and opens the door to the APC, then steps out of it and looks around
-
The bay is bustling with activity, soldiers wander here and there performing their duties. Mechanics work on the vehicles, a group of trainees jog by in formation. "Any questions?"
-
"Not really..." she steps back as the trainees run by, while she continues to look around the area
-
A pair of gunships roar over head, off on a mission of some sort. In the distance Pavel can be seen with a woman, discussing something.
whats this about kora dying?
-
"Who is she?" she points to the pair
>.> <.< She might or she might not I'm not entirely sure yet
-
Kozak looks at the pair. "Oh that's Pavel's Girlfriend, Kora. She's alright once you get to know her."
Lol, it just surprised me is all.
-
she nods "Well, I have no idea what to do..."
k
-
"Pavel says to show you to your room, then you'll speak with him about what happens next."
-
"When do I speak with him?" she turns around tonface him, motioning to lead the way
-
He leads her towards her rooms. "Some time tomorrow, it's nearly ten pm now, and you need to rest after today."
