We can fix how repetitive the strikes are by letting us add our OWN modifiers. By doing this, it'd allow us to experience the strikes in a different way each time. Thus eliminating the repetitive factor.
For example, the [url=http://i.imgur.com/czwGakD.png]skulls[/url] in the Halo series. They added FUN to the missions.
They were pretty much things that modified the game play as the modifiers in Destiny do.
This was probably already thought of at Bungie, but if we sign it enough, we might be able to get this added in somewhere.
EDIT: Oh and we want a Grunt Birthday Party skull for Destiny. You can prevent people from choosing modifiers that make the strike easy by not letting them select any burns unless it's a challenge strike. (for fun.)

I'd like to see the strike boss encounters re-imagined with additional mechanics, like the challenge bosses in PoE. They would only take effect on the weekly challenge strikes, and would require players to actually coordinate their efforts to complete the mission.

It would be great to see a veto thing like before next strike appears, we see either select Omnigul (with modifiers) or Nexus (With modifiers) and you and your fireteam could choose depending on the strike AND modifiers - voting is something we see on a ton of games like Halo, Evolve and many more and introducing modifiers will allow us to put off that feeling off repetition that creeps in all the time.

I don't think they should change much, but like you were saying about our own modifiers instead of that maybe there should be game modes for strikes and cruicible with modifiers like air born and grounded.

I vote yes but random modifiers. I would like a mode where I can choose them as well and up the reward for the amount of modifiers you select but I think dragon strikes etc should be random.

I think completing certain activities should unlock the available modifiers to you. Say you get a baseline of modifiers available to everyone, but the more beneficial as well as difficult modifiers are unlocked along the way. Some modifiers cannot be stacked together in the player's favor. Like you can't jump around with Airborne and Brawler only unless you tack on something like Grounded with it.

The whole game is pointless repetition, brain dead monotony in small spaces on big planets. They stripped out the Epic story they promoted in the prerelease vidocs. Stripped it all out and replaced it with an Epic onslaught of mind numbing grinding
