Seems just like you're full of sh!t mate. You can make him stay for an extra day during the holidays but you cant change his inventory. You have to have encountered this issue before. Honestly Destiny is already a big disaster and disappointment. Taking away easy exotics just seems like more bullsh!t.

This probably happened because they tried to change his inventory. So I think that they should be on the safe side and not edit it

I'm a programmer and I know that this stuff is changeable on the fly, that's what server maintenance is.
