Well, earning strange coins is a thing and what do you buy the weapons with? Wow, strange coins. And just because you have 3 characters and each of them are level 34 makes it easier for [b]YOU[/b] but for some people (under leveled) might struggle. Also, a level 23 can not stack up more than 20 strange coins in a week just by doing the heroics, due to your post 'Have a bunch of level 23's running around with gjally, make it even worse.'. In reality, everything in the game has to be [b]earned[/b] but you're making it seem that people who buy stuff from Xur have never earned anything. You're the type of person I would hate to do raids/crucible with. edit: I have over 1,000+ hours logged throughout several accounts and NONE of them have Gjallarhorn so no, the 400 hour mark does not grant you a Gjallarhorn. I've also seen a level 27 with less than 100 hours get one from the Gorgons chest.

I did not say that getting strange coins was not work and that they did nothing, but it is not as hard as grinding nightfalls for weeks, and raids and everything. I also did not say that you have to get one at 400, but most people I know have on by 500.

You gotta figure there's all kinds of people and demographics that play Destiny. The reason Xur is here is so exotic gear is available to everyone.
