Oldest Gun in your inventory? The one you have held on to the longest.
The only gun in my inventory that I can recall having since the beginning is my Icebreaker. Probably the sole reason my leading weapon in crucible is a sniper rifle.
I started a hunter on Day 1 and was so eagerly upgrading every weapon/armor I got that I soon was running low on all the materials.
I restarted a hunter and picked up the Icebreaker week 5 from Xur. It carried me through a lot of tough missions.
What have you held on to from the beginning?
Edit 1: A lot of Shadow Price, definitely feel like I missed out. Biggest dismantle regret is my The Cure rocked launcher from FWC.
Edit 2: Wow, 400 replies and counting....seems many were wiser than I and kept some vanilla guns that turned out to be pretty sweet after ascension.
Edit 3: I went through the first 10 pages or so of responses and have a top five trend. These are probably the overall top five responses but I stopped early so who knows.

Edit 4: BEST gift to veteran players: Give us the option to choose up to three (one of each weapon type) of ANY of the retired Legendary weapons the game has offered for old time's sake!!?!???

Lord High Fixer: amazing targeting and range. Three hit kills on most pvp encounters. You don't see that level of stats on legendary guns now. Plus, it has third eye and add. range when ads.

Forgot to add in Final Rest II, also. Decreased charge rate perk, so it's my best secondary for Crucible.

Love my Heaven Can Wait and A Little Voice. Helped me find my undying love for hand cannons, though Stranger's Rifle is still great.

My go to gun in the dark below was the do gooder and in vanilla it was VoC and now it has been restored as my go to gun, my first exotic was bad juju, my first legendary was unfriendly gaint at lvl 24.
