If you insist on taking the heavy ammo before the rest of available teammates make it there I will continue to stand in front of you blocking your view until we both die. If you don't care about winning than neither do I. If the teams way out of range and there's enemies approaching by all means. But if you take it while most of your teammates are on their way you've been warned. #damnidiots
Edit: it's become painfully obvious that most of you either can't read or are just plain stupid and selfish. Above I clearly state that if there's a threat by all means go for it. To do otherwise is a detriment to the team. And iron banner isn't vanilla crucible.
Edit2: No wonder the raid percentage is so low! Most of you are dumber than a box of rocks.
Edit3: glad to see this morning the numbers are coming my way. There are smart people that play destiny?! Yay. I can tell by these posts who's completed a raid and who hasn't.

By all means, keep waiting. My nova bomb almost always synchs up with heavy ammo
-
Only if I see blue dots on the radar will I wait. If not, I'll wait about 15 seconds after it drops if nobody goes to get it, and I don't see red
-
I always wait but when I see red im like hurry or -blam!- it i take it
-
Typically the person that does this seems to just camp heavy too. Waiting a full minute or two for that drop.
-
Agreed. Died a couple times yesterday jumping in front of dbag teammates while meleeing them not paying attention to enemies. I hope they know why. I see red I pop it, but -blam!- me, the more teammates with heavy the better! As long as the other team doesn't get it....
-
I agree. I will do nutty best to get him killed and I'll invite him to our party chat and rip him a new butt hole :)
-
Lol good to know I'm not the only one that's done that. I was one heavy kill from the bounty the other day and some too just grabbed it literally right before me and two others got there. Within 2 seconds close. No enemies anywhere near. I literally stood in front of him everywhere he went until he was dead. I normally don't do douchey things, but that was the last straw after being teamed with morons all night.
-
I fully support this post. I rage when I see morons take the heavy before the rest of the team gets there when there is no imminent threat approaching. Heavy ammo control is essential to winning matches.
-
2 RepliesI ran up to intercept a Warlock coming down the stairs from Zone A on Rusted Lands yesterday, eating a Nova Bomb but saving the rest of the team who were waiting for heavy. I spawned in maybe 10 FEET from the heavy, but they'd already picked it up. I was like "gee, thanks...." I wasn't too upset though, easy to panic when supers start flying.
-
I don't get heavy. I do nova bomb the entire other team right as they pull their heavy
-
If possible I always wait until all teammates on my radar are within range. But you already get 15 seconds to get ready for heavy ammo, so if I feel the enemy is closing in and I take it, that is on you.
-
3 RepliesWhy would I let anyone else get heavy ammo all your going to do is steal my kills with a rocket launcher...
-
8 RepliesIf im on my titan i pop a bubble when they about to shoot lol
-
3 RepliesOoh man! I can't believe the idiots out there! First thing someone taught me about pvp on this here forum was to make sure you save ammo for your team. Shit, most times I'll cover and miss the ammo, but as long as my boys get it I'm happy. But this IB tourney, people be getting stupid. Oh man, my blood pressure is going up again....deep breaths....ohm...ohm...mellow Ok, im better....lol
-
2 RepliesYou respond to a poor tactical decision by forcing your entire team to lose? Dick.
-
All though I agree 100% that they should wait, and it pisses me off when they do it, you sir is what's wrong with some members of this community. Why get yourself and them killed? That is doing nothing but hurting the team. Also, I would say that the people that do this are mainly pve players, and don't play pvp that much. If anything, they've completed multiple raids and hardly done any pvp.
-
I agree it's frustrating running to heavy ammo to see idiots collect before you make it. In iron banner this is really bad due to the 2 bounties that require heavy ammo. However I won't stand in front of them until we both die. I just get one with it and wait to try and collect the next heavy ammo.
-
1 ReplyI hear ya buddy! More times than not by popping the heavy by yourself, while everyone on the other team picks up heavy, you will turn the tide of the match and lose. If there's no red on the radar give it a few extra seconds... Common sense..
-
I LOVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!! There are so many selfish and dumb crucible players out there it's not even funny! Too many times I am running to the heavy ammo and like so close with no one in sight and some idiot grabs it by himself. UGH!!!!
-
2 RepliesMy favourite thing to do when a selfish teammate grabs Heavy by himself is to follow him, wait for him to line up his Rocket Launcher, and then step in front of him. Then it's time for a sassy dance party on his smouldering corpse!
-
Seriously. Come on you dumb idiots
-
We've all been there..busy capping a point during heavy call out..you know you have just enough time to get in range..you see the blueberry leaving the spot to go camp heavy..you finish the cap and run to the spawn..hes alone...heavy ammo available..the cheat dissappears and he walks off with the only heavy when you and others were just a second away from range...then you get the satisfaction of seeing him get smashed by a full team of rockets vs his garbage non prox crap...thats satisfaction enough for me...go ahead kid take all the heavy..good luck. Yeah its annoying but..its what expect when I dont go with a team.
-
So many different opinions on this!! I understand your frustration with players who blatantly take the heavy ammo when they can look at their radar and see their teammates are near. While I normally hear the announcement "heavy ammo inbound", I admit that sometimes I am not able to work my way over to the heavy to share in taking it. That's on me, and I will have to go without. There are times when you simply cannot get to the heavy ammo in time, and it's better that someone on your team get it than the opposing team. However, when someone takes the heavy ammo by themselves when you are only steps away from that player, heading in their direction, AND no one on the other team is nearby, that's just flat out being a selfish jerk. My advice, if you want to be an effective TEAM player and contribute to your team's success, keep your eye on the radar when standing at the heavy seconds before it's ready. If the other team is not near and you see the blue dots very close to you, wait for your team to arrive before popping the crate.
-
If people are taking too long then I just take it, you snooze you lose. You clearly get told "heavy ammo on the way" if you ain't there then I guess you must not want it.
-
Yes! I feel bad when I'm with one other team mate, and they grab it, while other team members are still coming. Even though I have the heavy ammo, I still feel bad for the rest of my team
