Xur should not sell HoW exotics!
Just to clarify immediately... I don't care if he sells any other gun in the game. I have every exotic there is so far and I've maxed 1 of each gun at least. I wouldn't care if he sold any of them even though I don't need them so this isn't a crying post!
I want something to actually work for in this dlc! The feeling when an exotic you need drops is great and I want that with these new guns. I understand I don't have to buy them if they're sold and I can wait but obviously nobody really does that. I wish I wouldn't buy them but when everyone else is going to, in going to as well.
Basically all I'm saying is please don't sell them over and over immediately after release! When this dlc dropped dragons breath and nlb were basically every other week! I realise they both kinda suck but still, there was never any incentive too try and get them because they were thrown in our faces.
Sorry too anyone desperate for them who wants Xur to sell them but I'm sure plenty of people are in my boat and want too try and work towards the new content. If all of them just get sold a few weeks after release we will get bored again fairly quickly imo.
[b]Wow people just don't read posts anymore do they? He can sell any other weapon in the game including Gjallarhorn and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest! I just want the brand new very rare exotics too stay rare for at least a month or two! That means if I don't get them then I won't have them either and that's fine![/b]

Theres no incentive to get anything in this game when you can get the exotics from level 2 dregs..... Now if they made it so exotics only dropped from bosses, then there would be incentive to actually do each strike. But no. Buying them and getting them from a 2 dreg is no different.

If all the new ones were really hard long bounties then sure. Of the other option is rng then there is no hard work assosiated with getting them. I'd vote no to your suggestion that xur shouldn't sell them.

1 ReplyBasically what you mean is you'd prefer xur not to sell new dlc exotics for a while. I totally agree. Because now with etheric light it won't be difficult for people to reach max level. It will be quicker than Crota dlc to reach 32. Yes there is Osiris gear to collect and elders gear to collect. But I find trying to get the weapons is the whole point of the grind and makes each drop exciting. I'd prefer xur not to tell dlc weapons for a month or two as well. Why do people want to rush this game and get everything asap? It's gonna be a while till next dlc and also any other good games to come out

2 RepliesUnfortunately we all can't be as lucky as you and no matter how much we play certain exotics seem to elude us to the point basically saying screw this what's the point. I know I'm done with Crota for a while, after about 60 completion still no black hammer, I get full raid gear for my warlock every run but on my Titan gauntlets won't drop. Same with the vault, over 40 completions and no foil or time piece. I've had about a dozen vex and half a dozen fatebringers. The loot table needs a serious tweak to weigh the weapons you you received a little less and the ones you don't have a bit more. It should be that when you get a gun it shouldn't drop another dozen times for you. I've dismantled more than 3 full sets of Crota weapons other than sword breaker and hunger since I only got them twice when people can't get some of those once but have had multiple hammers. I don't mind grinding something but when it's left to pure chance and dozens of attempts of utter failure it makes it more a chore than being fun. I've said it before and I'll say it again, make all exotics bounty quests as well as RNG this way there is an eventual way of getting them through real work not just pure luck.

5 RepliesRNG must smile upon you as it does me. Unfortunately, I am in favor of Xur because I realise that not everyone will be as fortunately as a few of us. I guarantee that there are players with many more hours and raid completions than myself that are still missing Exotic Weapons.

8 RepliesXur is perfectly fine, lots of ppl arent lucky when it comes to drops & xur is a blessing to them, you dont have to buy from xur & if you want to get exotics from drops then good for you. But dont hate or resent ppl that have 100s of hrs played & still dont have a certain weapon/armour & so they decide to buy it from xur. I,ve rarely bought anything from xur (i got truth today as its 1 of the few weapons thats never dropped for me) but its the 1st purchase in 5 or 6 weeks, everything in this game is earned & ppl deserve everything they have. Stop trying to disrupt the game simply because you wanna feel like a special snowflake. Xur should work the same as always regardless.
