An omnipotent being attempts to create a rock he cannot lift. By making the rock, he is no longer all powerful, since there is something he cannot do. If he can't make the rock in the first place, then he was never all powerful.

12 RepliesIf you're gonna decide on this seek a family member or in this case the Lord he died for you man. You might as well in this lifetime bring as many people to Heaven as you can. He is the creator and everybody says I will not believe in Jesus until I have proof...but honestly there is no rock hard proof of evolution either. It takes just as much faith to believe that lie of evolution than to believe in Jesus the son of God and Man.

I use to be semi religious then I stopped because I realized religion was meant to explain things in the past that we couldn't explain like the existence of man or how the sun rises. I think it's good to practice religion if you like religion I'm not saying there's anything wrong with religion though I just find it kind of useless now

Okay, but first define God, and why you believe. If you believe this Universe and the known living things in it seem to sophisticated to exist without being created, then how does that notion work, when we consider how a being capable of creating such things exist? Read "Ultimate 747".

16 RepliesI am only an atheist because... 1.I think it is silly to worship something you aren't even 100% sure exists. 2.If he does exist, and he spoke to people in the past, and gave them all powers to prove it, then why not in the present? 3.The Bible was written originally as a children's story, but after someone took it seriously, it went under revisions and became famous. This happened around 350 CE 4.Religion is the cause of a large percentage of war, and getting rid of it would save lives. 5.I hate it when people pray when they do something. He is not going to save/help you! 6.Religion can take away people's entire lives, as they can devote entire lives to it. 7.There is actual PROOF of the big bang theory, when there is only a book proving God. I rest my case. Trying to argue will involve all other atheists to this post, so don't even think about it. [spoiler]Attention atheists. If you agree with these facts, say so by replying. Also, team up on religious idiots with facts, if you will.[/spoiler]

Apparently god made the world in seven days. made all the living creatures that walk on it. But couldn't see that giving us free will would end the way it did ? Let's face it if he could do all that he would know fine rightly the outcome. And what happened with dinosaurs? A practice run perhaps lol.
