Do You REALLY need weapon space?
I don't know about you guys, and I know this has been posted about more times than a horizontal line where X = 0 crosses the the x-axis, but this topic is/has been reinvigorated due to today's post.
I love Bungie and this game, but I feel as though the vault space increases were a wee bit imbalanced? I need far more space for armor variants and class items than I do weapon space, and yes I have all but 3 exotics in the game, plus all raid weapons (VoG/CE). I only use 3 spaces in the weapon vault and have plenty of room across 3 characters left.
What are your thoughts?

I needed more space for weapons and armor. The misc. section only neded a couple moe spots and to have stack size for certain items increased. To be honest though. I dont understand why they didnt just do a seperate page for weapons, armor, and misc items. That would have effectively tripled the vaukt space for each category.

If the app allowed for guardian to guardian transfer it wouldn't be so bad. But all the extra switching sucks. I like to keep everything in the vault so all my characters have quick access to it. I have all exotic weapons and raid weapons and I'm still one spot short in the vault. I'm on xbox too. So ps users have 3 extra guns to tend too. This doesn't even include the ton of legendary snipers shotguns fusion and hand cannons I have. I actually need even more weapon space.

What I believe they should have done instead of adding the glow ball, helmet in the tower and new noises was each section in the vault should have had its own page. That way you always have rokm for everything. Armour= one whole page. Weapons= one while page. General= one whole page

I don't necessarily keep multiples and if I do they have set homes But as as far as everything else goes yes I so need more vault space for weapons Armor space would be cool but it doesn't matter til we can transmog

With new weapons coming out this will mot be enough. I do enjoy using a variety of weapons. Hopefully the reef will have more vault space including in the expansion

1 ReplyEdited by xXTheDireWolfXx: 4/14/2015 5:07:36 PMI need more primary weapon space as I have thorn, word , oversoul, fang, ghelion demise, fatbringer, timurs, VoC , NitC (can't seem to get rid of my 3 best ones rodeo, send it, firefly) and 1 exotic on each char I know I do not need 4 scout rifle on each character all I really need is Fang and VoC but I worked hard for Demise and NitC were my first and I have gone through at least 10. The ones I have now are with the perfect perks. I also have a couple of Mida's so sometime I carry 5 scouts.

I keep multiples like LDR bc one is solar, one is arc. I have a void Plug.One and a solar one. Its good to have multiples for different situations and nightfalls.

Nope; I only keep weapons I use; I never use machine guns so dismantle those i only use certain shotguns and few other exotics i dont need each and every weapon i dismantle regardless of what others say; idc i dont use it. plain and simple they make good exotic shards though

I don't think they understand that people collect gear like trophies. You also don't want to carry all that gear on your character. If you played the entire game you could have 2 sets of raid gear, 1 set queens wrath, 2 sets IB gear plus all of the variations with exotics times 3 characters. I have most of the exotics weapons. I have all 3 character types, I have a Icebreaker for each character and all the rest of the exotics stay in the vault unless I need them (which is full). Each character has all legendary weapons with multiples (different damage types) so I don't have room on my character for exotics I'm not using if I want to have room to carry loot.

I need vault space and the ability to wear my helmets in the Tower, more so than any new content or a raid; I'm glad they staggered the release date for the House of Wolves, so they could work on these pressing issues, and used their comfortable allowance of time acknowledging.

Weapon space? Yes. I got almost all the exotics. And I keep 3 legendary snipers, 3 legendary shotguns, 3 legendary rocket launchers, and 3 legendary machine guns. 1 of each burn, to do the Weekly Nightfall with. And thats not counting Raid weapons. Right now I have to use my 3 characters to carry the extra weapons. Armor space I don't need because my characters carry all that.

I can only assume you just have one of each weapon and that you keep them all on your characters. In that case each of your characters carry different exotics and VOG/Crota weapons. Here's how my characters are layed out 1 * Gjallarhorn on each character 1 * icebreaker on each character 1 * each crota primary on each character. 1 * each crota secondary on each character. 1 * murmur on each character. In my vault I have 3 * red death, 1 last word, 1 thawn (had 3 but, deleted two as I don't use it except for PvP), 3 vex, 2 fatebringers (soon to be transferred if they are now upgradable after HOW), VOG snipers, 2 * suros, 2 * fusion (various burns). Each of my chars carries a weapon that is effective against whatever they will face out in the field. I have exactly 1 heavy, special and primary box left on each character. My postmaster is now a second vault. So I repeat my question. How have you only used 3 weapon slots in the vault and yet claim to have every weapon (unless you shard al duplicates and do indeed have just one of each weapon).

4 Repliesim not sure if your including Iron banner and Queens Wraith weapons but the total amount of weapons a collector myself would want is 72 weapons (counting all raid, exotic and event) since there is a ton more primary weapons then anything else in teh game yes i need more vault space but what i REALLY NEED is more general item space.

5 RepliesI've deleted my multiples and am still full. We're getting 17 more slots for weapons and hundreds of new weapons in HoW. We need much more! I'm only using 5 slots for armor, at least let us allocate slots for whatever we want! I don't need more armor space.

I need space for everything, but primarily weapons and items. I can get by with armor because armor tends to stick with the characters, but weapons and items are shared.

2 RepliesI am a shader collector, so every single one of my misc. slots is full. If I want to trade some Helium over i have to remove a shader on an alt, put the helium in, switch back, withdrawal the helium, switch back put the shader back in, then go back to use the helium. While I understand what I am doing is causing me to have inventory issues, I like to refresh my look every couple of weeks, and some shaders just look awesome with different helmets, Thunderdevil with Obsidian Mind anyone?
