Curious on what you guys think. Or what would your solution be for trading since people think it will become monetary so quickly. I have enough exotic shards and would rather give away my duplicate exotics to people still seeking them.
I understand there are a lot of children on here, please add to the conversation with your thoughts and not just one word answers. Many people have given their ideas and it helps to continue the conversation. Dead horse, yes and no don't add anything to the topic.

I want trading

1 ReplyEdited by CodeShax: 5/13/2015 2:00:17 PMI think trading would be ok, maybe they can make the player need items and money to even trade for a weapon or maybe make the rng have tiers because I have over 1000 hours on the game now and haven't had a single gjallahorn, I've seen it drop a lot of times for others and my friend has half my game time and he has 5 gallys, I'm sure this has happened to others and I think we can find a way together as a community to find a middle ground in this argument. @rich105

4 RepliesRaid trading only Raid groups are allowed to trade raid rewards from that raid ONLY amongst each other. Once someone leaves for orbit, all raid rewards lock to the accounts.

1 ReplyI wouldn't like to see trading personally. We all know there would be people who have just started the game because their friend who has been playing a while told them pick it up. Then when the new guy reaches 20 their friend just throws all their spare legendary gear towards them and they're ready to do crotas end the first day they get the game. As some one who had to climb over the level 24 cliff until I could afford my first exotic I would find that incredibly unfair. In my opinion this is also what gives players so much ascendant material is breaking down unusable weapons and armor which is your consolation for getting gear you don't like. We would just encounter another problem with vault space from people hoarding weapons they are "gonna trade it for something better, just gotta wait for the right deal". Vaults would fill up in record time then everyone would just demand vault space next. It would just create more problems

4 RepliesDead horse beaten.... No trading ruins the "Finally" rush. I would like to see a pass on item option on end rolls though so it could reroll to others in your fireteam.
-
I honestly don't care... All you see is "make trading possible" I'm sick of seeing the post so I hope they do make it possible. Oh who am I kidding? They'd make trading a thing then people would still complain about trading.

If there was a trading system limit it. One transaction per week and it would have to be an exotic for exotic legendary for legendary etc etc
-
No trading ever
-
1 ReplyShouldn't happen. It would ruin an rng based game that doesn't have the number of items to make them that rare.
-
4 RepliesI don't think it will ever happen and that's because of what would have to be added to the game to make it work. It's also because of a story DeeJ shared about how he got his Thunderlord from a Crucible drop as well as our own stories about favorite drops. It also completely changes the social dynamic of a game as well. Think of all the wheeling and dealing that happens with checkpoints instead of players actually playing the game for their loot. Now multiply that by a factor of a LOT. I think Bungie has it right the way it is. For me at least, nothing would be as much fun as random loot tables. Do NOT slow the roll! RNG Forever!!

1 ReplyI think trading would be make bungie lose money. If everyone just traded for stuff they didn't have people would reach the "end" of Destiny which to me is getting all the exotics and raid armor and a few other material things. People would then get bored of destiny fast and activisions greedy hands will get upset

There is not enough variety in equipment, nor is there storage space to support an economy. I support loaning equipment for 24 hours

-
5 RepliesNo.... I want everyone to grind 900+ hours for their gjallarhorn like I did.
-
Agreed(one word oops there's more xD)
-
No trading what so ever.
-
It would take a complete currency overhaul otherwise it would be just a shortcut to having everything which would be counter productive.

1 ReplyWhat if you could only trade a primary exotic for another primary exotic, or a special legendary for another special legendary. Separate by "tier" (primary, special, heavy) and "rarity" (yellow, purple, blue...). Essentially two items that take up the same slot. Also specify between raid and non-raid weapons. Maybe group iron banner and raid legendaries or keep those separate as well... Also pay 10k+ glimmer per trade to limit.. Obviously not a simple solution, if they even implement trading ever... Idk what do you guys think of that? cheers

No trading that's p2w
-
5 RepliesWeapons, armor, class items and everything should have set values. For example. Gjallahorn = 100 To trade for the gjallahorn you must offer something with equal value. Gjallahorn..100 For Word of crota 50 Felwinters Lie 50
-
It's not in the game because there would be less numbers. And because that's all bungie cares about, we won't see it.
-
Be good to get rid of my other exotics but certain weapons have a low drop rate for a reason ( and yes I know people end up with multiple ghorns but to get your first one for most is difficult ). I don't really won't it more because I would like them to put time into other aspects of the game

2 RepliesI think it would ruin the game.. Deej stated this in a live stream with planet destiny. The whole concept of acquiring your loot by yourself is what they strive for, like jumping for joy as you get your first gjallarhorn or finally get the last piece of the raid gear you need from completing the raid. Introducing a trading system will only devalue the grind of acquiring these weapons and the excitement of the game in general. Think about it, unless bungie put some major restrictions on the trading system nothing good can come from it (Generally speaking). You would have people with say 3 vex mythoclasts and someone with 2 hawkmoons etc and through one simple swap of weapons between players that whole grind and excitement to finish Atheon hard is gone as you have the weapon you wanted just like that. From what I heard, bungie want you to feel like those items you acquired are truly yours and as if you earnt them.
