Farewell Gjallarhorn
As a day-one'er and a frequent player, I've come to grips that I simply am not going to receive this weapon. I have every other exotic (available on xb1), multiples in fact of most of them, yet I have never received this prized weapon. I have finally made peace that I will never get it. While the RNG is a factor, I should have received it by now with how much I play and how many times I have done an event or action that can yield exotic weapons. So I will continue to use my thunderlord, truth, or HoC and still be just as effective. Oh yes, and I will continue to visit Xur and see that he has the upgrade for gjallarhorn for sale yet again. Farewell Gjallarhorn.
Edit 1: Did the Crota raid last night, and guess what?! Someone else got it. Someone who literally just completed their 2nd Crota raid ever.
Edit 2: Did 2 more Crota raids and 1 VoG run and each time someone else got the gjallarhorn. LOL
Edit 3: Finally got that suma bitch last night from PoE. Literally gave up and didnt care any more. It will however be 365 by the end of the day. Abandoning all hope to obtain it really works!

I'm with you. I don't raid or even nightfall with regularity so my chances of getting it through RNG are diminished even more. But it's no longer "really want what I can't have" and I'm fine with it. I have a bunch of exotics now and have been busy leveling them to the second specialty perk. There's a lot of fun toys out there to play with. Ghorn is really meant for raid and nightfall bosses and is unnecessary for pretty much everything else as it's overkill. I'm shocked to see crucible players waste the exotic a lot for Ghorn. Thorn, Red Death, Bad Juju, Invective are a much better choice based on how often you use your heavy. But if I do get it, I'll certainly be happy but it's not driving me crazy anymore.

1 ReplyYou've got the right attittude, not caring that is. Now just keep doing your exotic rolls every week and don't expect it and if it does drop you'll be suprised. I have 3, wish I could trade an extra gally or thunderlord for a black hammer or fatebringer thats the guns I can't get to drop...

3 RepliesSame with me and black hammer. I haven't gotten the gjally either but I haven't given up. Though I've done crota 20 odd times and still no black hammer. Gotten every other gun from it including heavies primaries and the other specials... But still no black hammer

I got mine around 100ish hours. Here's the secret... Don't want it, pray for something else to drop. I did a nightfall, prayed for Suros and got disappointed I got ghorn instead. Not that I didn't want it, at the time I just wanted Suros more.
