So glad you asked. Let's look at Genesis 6 “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” Abortion you ask? Let's look at Isaiah 49. "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you." And why do you want one from the New Testament? Gods word still remains regardless of the New or Old.

And why the New Testament? Because the Old Testament is irrelevant, unless you still sacrifice goats for God? Isaiah is simply saying God will not forget you; as I don't forget the children I've created. Regardless of their living status. According to Christianity, all I have to do is ask for forgiveness. However, you, you've cast judgement on me, isn't that against God's words? I was raised a Christian so arguing with me about the bible is pointless.

  • You obviously were not raised as a true christian then. God doesn't work like that. You don't go out and sin and then say "oh sorry, sorry". Misinterpretation of the Bible is not a good thing to have in mind. Example. Let's say you have a friend that you stole money from. You tell them your sorry and apologize for it. They accept the apology. You do it again. You say your sorry. Friend is reluctant but accepts apology. You do it again. Friend is on the verge of cracking and doesn't want a thief as a friend, but accepts apology. You do it again. Your friend is done. Has nothing to do with you. God isn't a tool or a crutch for your morals. You don't go out, turn your back on God and then pray to get it off your chest or conscience. Sincere prayer and a closer relationship to Him is the only way to be forgiven. God knows the difference between "sincere" and "I'm doing this to make myself feel better".

  • So you judge me. You will not be forgiven? There is only 1 unforgivable sin. What is that? Do you even know?

  • There is no unforgivable sin on a moral level. However, anyone who blasphemes the Holy Ghost is subject to eternal condemnation as refered to in Matthew and Mark. But who's judging you? I can point people in the right direction without judging someone. It isn't my place to judge others.

  • Haha. So not true. I assume you have a different or no religion at all. I'm not here to bible thump you, lecture you or give you bible study, but its something to think on.

  • Already thought on it. Can't change the past. When you lose both your parents within 4 years of each other and become homeless you question if "He" really does care, or even notices you for that matter. I've had nightmares for the past 5 years of being with my parents again. I suffer daily with clinical depression & severe anxiety disorder. I'm not fit to be a father. Not the way my father was to me, I did what I had to do to save these children I'd "created" from having a -blam!-ed up life as I have. And just yesterday, I lost my place to live, and will soon be taking my own life. Thanks for passing judgement.

  • You're right brother. You can't change the past. But you can change the future. You don't have to choose to live that kind of life. It isn't Gods will for anyone to perish, but have eternal life. A close relationship with the Lord is a love that can NOT be un matched. Nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. God puts trials in our life to test our faith. To test our love for Him. And dude, I hope your joking about taking your own life. Suicide isn't the way out. It never is. Regardless of how down you may feel, regardless of how worthless you may feel, regardless of how much of a failure you may feel like, Jesus always has his arms outstretched for everyone. He loves you. The bible says that Jesus is the right hand of the Father always making intercession for us. He died for you. You. If you would've been the only one on the earth, He would've done it just for you. He loves you.

  • I've lost everything; I'm not joking. I think my trials have been plenty. My faith has been tested beyond repair. I lost my father in 2005, I was 15, lost my mom in 2010. And I was in jail when I lost my step father and didn't get to attend the funeral in 2014. I'm waiting for God to finally grab me and tell me I've passed. I've maintained my faith for as long as I possibly can. These aren't trials, it's -blam!-ing torture. Maybe you're that one who is suppose to tell me, or show me He's still listening. But at this point, I'm homeless again. I can't do it anymore.

  • Just don't cast judgement if you've not gathered all the facts. That'd be my advice to you. Do you know how hard it is to be the only kid of 4 with no children of my own? But I see that both my sisters, neither have their kids, my brother doesn't have his either. How do I explain to my children, when they get older that we can't go see grandma or grandpa? We can see the child's mom's parents. But not mine. Who will sit in the front row at my wedding? Picture frames?

  • I understand your going through hardships, rough times. I really do. Losing family members and loved ones is not easy, nor is it something for me to take lightly. My goal isn't for you to be bitter at me or God. I really want to reach out to you. It really stirred a desire in my heart when you said "maybe you're the one who is suppose to tell me, or show me he's still listening". I never want to miss an opportunity to help someone out or show them the right way.
