Last Word needs to be nerfed. Period
I am just sick of getting outgunned by this ridiculously op gun. I watched a little of the #1 player in the world she's my nerd's stream on twitch and asked him about the last word in the chat. He even said it is the only primary he uses period because it is OP and the game is unbalanced. I mean come on, it OUTGUNNED my EXOTIC THUNDERLORD MACHINE GUN at medium range so stop with that " it's an exotic it's suppose to be that good" bs. I really was just about to accept that this game has some horrible balance issues but that was the last straw. It really is a joke how unbalanced this game is. Anybody who uses a last word knows it's OP . Also anybody who uses blink shotgun knows that's OP. Blink needs at least a 2 to 3 second cool down after the FIRST jump period. Anybody who does not also use blink is immediately at a disadvantage against somebody who has mastered the cheap art of blink shotgunning. I play with quite a few people online and most of them who use a last word or who use blink shotgun don't try to defend them. They know what's op and what's not. I don't blame them.

I reduced the rant and instead am offering solutions. Balance issues in the crucible are all on Bungie and only they can fix them.
Here are some possible easy solutions.
Solution for Last Word: Reduce damage reasonably but Increase the magazine.
Solution for Thorn: I enjoy this gun but even ill admit the burn is OP) Burn only activates on Headshots.
Solution for Blink Shotgun: Increase cool down after First Blink.

If you blink and shotgun so be it. More power to you but it is OP. Also
I'm not condemning the use of the Last Word. I don't blame anybody who uses it. But it is OP. Even the #1 crucible player in the world knows it's OP. It's all he uses. Anyways, getting outgunned by a last word with machine gun is what made me post this thread. I found this video and I'm not the only one who this has happened to and thinks the last word is OP.

No other primary is winning that battle against an exotic Thunderlord. It dropped the guy in less then a second as it did me. It's what TLW does. OP.

This is not a question of skill. All guns take skill to use at a high level. It's just when this gun is used at a high level, it is unmatched in most situations during the crucible, especially if a whole fire team is using it.

It actually takes skill to land those headshots with that recoil crazy gun so no it does not need to be nerfed

1 ReplyI stopped reading this when you said Thorn ' Dot is OP. I don't think you understand TTK, and hand cannon meta play bud. If your mid range against someone with TLW, and that player has mastered hip firing with it (which takes a ton of time and skill) and kills you irregardless of what weapon you're using, that's on you. Don't cry to bungie to nerf weapons that don't need to be nerfed. I used to primarily use pulse rifles, like the strangers rifle and Red Death, Bad Juju etc. I consistently used to lose gunfights to hand cannons, because I didn't understand TTK. Hand Cannons have the lowest TTK, and are the hardest of weapons to master, so they deserve the power they have. Instead of moaning about OP this OP that I went out, got some hand cannons, and learned to use them to my advantage. We went through the same meta problems when everyone got felwinters lie and could out range every other shotgun, it's not necessarily a design flaw, I believe the weapons are working as intended; and as a player you need to learn to adjust. This happens in every competitive online game, and instead of people working on becoming better, they cry for the nerf bat, and it hurts others experience. All in all, I'm not the best at Pvp but I rather enjoy it, and would like to keep it that way.

Sure, its top tier in PvP, but is far from the end all beat all people seem to think it is. In PvE its downright useless, as pretty much any legendary outperforms it by a mile.

2 RepliesProblem with needing TLW is that it requires a good amount of skill to consistently out-gun people. The aim assist is practically null. This gun rewards fine-tuned thumbs. With any sort of nerf this gun would be unusable to all but the most skilled players. I rolled with TLW for a while, got pretty good with it. Still like my thron and bad juju better.

No HC needs to be nerfed. TLW is the weapon for a who is good in PvP (that's why it's the go-to gun in the top 10 PvP players) Hawkmoon doesn't need a nerf, since this gun's job is to kill everything fast and from far away (HAWK moon...remember the bird) Thorn is a special case. in IB I admit that Thorn was a -blam!-ing pain in my ass. But this week I got it and went to control to test it. And it wasn't all that fuss everyone was talking about. the Devourer perk is great, but not all that... soo, no weapon should be nerfed in pvp. period.
