Which Faction Is The Most Well-Intentioned
Simple question. Which faction do you find to be the most pure, noble, respectable, etc.
Back your reasons up with evidence. Counter someone's response with evidence. Grimoire, dialogue, etc.
I was with Dead Orbit for a long time, although I eventually began to feel like I was working for the wrong team. Grimoire says they're willing to do anything and everything to save us. That makes me a bit uncomfortable. Meaning if they had to for whatever reason, kill our own people, they would do it.
Not to mention, their base of operation is in a corner of the hangar bay, next to a bunch of crates.
I switched New Monarchy recently. They're closest to The Speaker, they have couches (respectable) and The Executor was once a toy maker. Gifting the children of the city? Sounds like a good guy to me. Counter me with reasons not to follow these guys.
Also, may I note that a Dead Orbit Grimoire card has a conversation between a D.O. Rep, and a ghost. He seems like a nice guy. Although he talks about keeping an area away from The Towers knowledge.
Anyways, let's get to conversing, Guardians!

1 ReplyWhen Dead Orbit says they will do anything to save us they're talking about how their plan is to ultimately abandon earth and find a new place to live. If you knew anything about Dead Orbit that would be obvious.

House of Judgement, definitely. Before the Fallen Fell, they were (as far as we can gather) the arbiters, the law-keepers, of the Fallen. Even when the Fallen began to collapse into disarray and violence they always made sure to stay close to the Kells and the Archons of the other Houses in order to advise them and survive. Even when there's one left, Variks still finds somewhere to survive, and still searches for law-desiring Fallen that are left. That's a pretty noble cause. (Yes, I know it's not on the list. XD )

I think dead orbits strategy is horribly flawed, they want to flee to a foreign, uncharted region that probably already has either A) a hive infestation B) a cabal military occupation C) a vex presance D) or an unknown force that we have yet to encounter. If we can barely fight them on our own turf what makes them think we can deal with them else where? The vex are going to be on just about every planet.

I'm not sure, but I'd like to point out that the only one that is honest about its intentions is Dead Orbit. The grimoire for FWC is... well, cultish, obviously. New Monarchy seems like they're the Templars with a new emblem (they didn't even bother changing their colors). Dead Orbit is nihilistic, but they're honest about it, and don't worship a dying "God". They're hardly "noble", however. I'll give that point to New Monarchy.

Dead orbit has the coolest shaders and overall best weapons....that's how I chose :-/ But NM and FWC seem more practical,but dead orbit going off into the unknown could reveal some Helpful stuff.

1 ReplyFwc is our only hope. The darkness will follow the dead orbit to the edge of the universe. New Monarchy is the new aged Hitler. If we all band together and use the gjallarhorn on the darkness maybe we will stand a chance.

If the war cult and new monarchy were blended into one, they would be the best faction. People seem to forget that while the monarchy wants to restore the golden age, that doesn't mean they aren't willing to fight the darkness in order to make it possible. They aren't just a bunch of loons who think they can just bring mankind back to glory and ignore the threats around us. One of their goals is to take back all of our lost planets and territories, that's good enough for me

To all sunsinger PvP warlocks invest time into dead orbit, using their gear (hood, boots, body) with claws of ahamkara is a perfect build and looks decent enough too. Check out my warlock if you wish.

I would have to go with NM, but my favorite will always be FWC. They been so good to me.

FWC is all about preparing and being cautious for the future. And war in the future. DO hates the traveler and prefers to avoid it.

New monarchy will do anything to save earth. Would you rather save the planet or your friends and family? dead orbit just wants to live out in the Stars. I left new monarchy when I found out this. And joined dead orbit since we share the Belief the traveler is evil

I would just want to be against monarchy because they basically want to hold a new monarch and bring control to guardians which I found through items in destiny, On a side note, it's too bad these factions don't do anything to the story

If I had to choose one i would have to go with FWC. DO wants to leave earth so humanity can survive but many tried to run from the darkness and they didn't get past the asteroid belt. I don't think DO's fleet would get to much farther. NM is trying to set up a government with one supreme monarch but history has showed that monarchs have a habit of abusing there power. I just would never be able to fully trust the monarch. FWC is a cult trying to defeat the darkness, however, they have many,many secrets. The grimoire says they have some kind of golden age machine that can predict the future but every time they use it the subject is driven insane from pictures of the city in flames. I don't like any of the factions but in the war against the darkness you have to have some allies. There is no running from the darkness and a I can't bring myself to put trust into one monarch. So that leaves FWC.
