Once you strip away the AA's, ordinance, loadouts, boltshot, etc you are left with a actually pretty good halo game.

The gun-play and skill gap is good, it's all the cluttered nonsense that makes it confusing as dicks, not to mention the confusing user interface (menu). Also one thing - I like halo 4, It's a pretty good game and I enjoyed it while it lasted.. but it got old REAL quick. I think that if there was more settings for custom games - turning off sprint etc, and precision forging, plus campaign theatre, there would be a lot more to do. One of the things that kept me on Halo 3 was custom games, so many people coming up with cool new ways to use the system - fat kid, duck, jenga, that game of zombies on sandtrap where you escape them on warthogs around the map and they have gravity hammers :p The point is that Halo 3 felt soooo open and limitless (even though it wasn't), On halo 4 you could SEE the limits visually, solid barriers in the settings that say "you can't go any further", wheres on Halo 3 people were always like "I can find a way..."

The gun-play is solid. Everything else is gimmicky nonsense.

3 RisposteModificato da thefartassassin: 1/12/2014 2:14:08 AMBut the fact is it has all that so it isn't a good game
-
1 RispondiAre you fanboys still rectal raged over "NOT MUH HALO" more than a year later? Jesus.
-
2 RisposteWell actually, if you strip down AA, loadouts, boltshot, weapon camos and all the other crap, you're left with nothing
-
1 RispondiI never knew if you took away all the bad things in a game it became good but now I know!!

1 Rispondi
Once you strip away the AA's, ordinance, loadouts, boltshot, etc you are left with a actually pretty good halo game.
Lol. Strip.

29 RisposteThat's a nice opinion but i disagree. The kill times still make it Call of Halo 4.
-
9 RisposteYeah, once you take away all the new editions and use Ragnarok you do basically get Halo 2/3 with a shittier announcer and uglier armour. Great.
-
People actually like Halo 4. Wow.
-
I think they should keep sprint, but can everything else.
-
Agreed It's not bad that 343i wanted to improve on the gameplay but in the end it was "ermagerd herv evrything!!!"
-
I agree with the statment that Halo 4 is a good game but not with everything stripped away. 343i did a good job with the game but did a terrible job preparring for once the game was out. There was no way to save content on Waypoint at launch, no theater for campaign, no ranking system at launch and they did not really support the competitive scene. They did something with Virgin and had that tournament when they release the dlc that had the pit remake They essentially made it hard for the community to get involved with the game and want to comeback and keep playing it. Something Bungie did with Halo 2 and 3 successfully. They also made it really easy to boost commendations and what I mean is once you max out the stupid SR rank, the exp banning system no longer applies to you and you can essentially get away with plugging in 4 controllers along with someone else online and boosting achievements and commendations. That is the only reason I have all of the weapon commendations that you pick up done on all thre races. I hate the feature where if you are being shot, you aim is messed up because that makes the SAW really hard to counter for an average player. What makes no sense at all is even if you are being shot from beind, it slows you down. Spartan Ops, something I play alone when grinding for commedations has a feature which annoys me when my internet would cut out because if the internet cuts out frequently, once you leave the game you cannot play Spartan Ops again unless you restart the game. even though I can play it solo it requires a connection to the internet. I guess so the game can track commendations. That is something I would like fixed for Halo 5. To be honest I have lost all interest in playing this game. The only reason I want to get Halo 5 is that it is an excuse to get an Xbox One and I kinda hope they do some Limited Edition console bundle.

So basically if you strip away all the things that made the MP suck the game is better? Who knew? >.>

28 RisposteModificato da Oddball: 1/10/2014 8:58:40 PMI'm not a fan of the fast paced multiplayer and the instant respawns. If they got rid of that too then maybe.
-
Get rid of the SIV's and sprint then we sort of have a deal

Maybe, I don't know. I gave up on it and went back to 3/Reach before I even considered trying messing with the settings. However, I'm tempted to say yes, because something got me hooked enough to play it for 9 months. Just not as good as the something that got me hooked in reach and 3.
-
No! you need to get rid of the Power Ranger Spartans D;

1 RispondiModificato da AK47: 1/9/2014 5:15:25 PM"Once you take away the things that make the game bad, you get a good game!" No shit sherlock. How long did it take you to figure that out? You can apply this to any game. Holy shit, people are actually agreeing with you. I didn't know everybody here was so stupid.

It's a diamond covered in shit...maybe even drowning in shit, but a diamond nonetheless.
-
At it's very bare core Superman 64 is a good game.
-
Modificato da adamj004: 1/9/2014 10:01:47 PMWell yes that's where most of the flack Halo 4 got comes from, the fact that it's not at it's not at it's core where it used to be. That's like someone complaining because there's a big rock lying in the middle of the road and they can't get past it then someone say's "well it's ok because if the rock wasn't there we wouldn't be stuck here so it's not all bad" You don't really have a point here you're just saying if the problem wasn't there then it would be ok and there's people actually agreeing with you as if they never thought of this and you made some kind of break through.

6 RisposteIt's always been good.

I hate Halo 4, but I do agree. At the centre of Halo 4 there is a fantastic game buried inside. It's the fifty layers of shit on top that ruins it.
-
I think it's the Legendary playlist that brings takes away all the junk and makes it more Halo 3ish. I thoroughly enjoy that mode. I hate Infinty Slayer. Random gun drops were the worst idea ever to hit Halo.
