Mataiodoxia buff/rework idea
Since its release, this exotic has basically just amounted to "You can use Suspend on Prismatic". It has next to no value on Strand Warlock, and it's pretty clear Bungie was only thinking about Prismatic when they designed it. It's basically just a worse version of Mindspun Invocation, that takes up your exotic slot.
My idea is to make it so that, in addition to its current effects, killing Suspended enemies will give you a stacking damage buff against Suspended enemies. This would reward you more for playing into its main mechanic, and actually give you a reason to use it on Strand, because with this change, building into Suspend on Strand becomes rewarding, rather than redundant, allowing you to take better advantage of the damage buff, and helping you stack it up more quickly and easily.

Seems more like you just didn't build into things right. It has no value on strand warlock for [u][b]you[/b][/u].

2 RisposteIt might get me to use it on strand, but not for its ability to suspend I’d be relying on wishkeeper, wanderer and mindspun for the buff and arcane needle would just be a happy coincidence every once in awhile.

1 RispondiBuddy, hitting a guy with the needle will cause a suspending burst around him when he died, that alone is great value. Now add in the anti barrier as well as the fragments that restore melee energy and you're set.

Modificato da S I L E N C E: 3/21/2025 8:34:26 PMI felt the same way about this exotic. But i've come around. Mataiodoxia works really well in the nether. I take strand into the nether with the Titan Bubble Glaive. It works really well with mindspun invocation as you can easily feed yourself melee uptime & as you slowly regain your grenade energy. I like your idea of suspended targets take more damage, (as that was the problem i was having with my sidearm build with this exotic) for now i'm using a glaive to make the exotic work & it's been fun. It definitely has a place & has it's uses. More than i initially gave it credit for. The only change i'd like to see them make to this exotic would be to increase the damage suspended enemies take (like you said) to make chaining the exotic more feasible for a wider variety of weapon types.
