So PvP is great again

Primary gun fights. Critical shots make a difference. Movement is key. Hardly any special ammo spam. Very little ability spam. Nice fast pace to combat. It’s early doors. But great -blam!- job!

    That would insinuate that is was great to begin with. I feel like lag and latency is worse then normal, been seeing a lot of crazy stuff happening, like I would hear a melee hit me leaving me one shot, but there is no one around same thing was happening to my friend but it killed him, and to be more specific it was an archunter melee, the sound que clear as day, walls also seem less protective than normal and so on I was shooting a wall and was getting damage numbers. with the body shot damage change, im noticing the wild and elusive damage glitch more often, bumgo was thinking with these changes it would make it easier for us to identify how we died (death cam would be the correct way but we all know why that will never happen) I killed a good number of people via damage glitch these past few days, but only one stands out, I wasn't aiming no where near the head, I slid out from cover, I just really wanted to take a look and slid back, in one body shot I killed this poor hunter four yellow 61s popped up and cooked, that stood out to me because I've never noticed the damage numbers before when a damage glitch occurred, not even sure if that's normal for this glitch. Been seeing verity of weapons, but noticing more sidearm and smgs and a range primary, scout, pulse, the occasional auto vs special, abilities seem to be in a better place, however I haven't played 3s yet so I have no clue what the absolute meta is, as of right now I've seen many people pop of with a verity of weapons. But in the end player population is still shyt and pvp as a whole still feels bad

  • It’s a great balance. Side arms/Smgs don’t feel as dominant, special is earned, primary shots are prominent and abilities feel like they require more thought to use effectively. Also loving collision😎

      • Each to their own but I think it’s dog -blam!- and a detriment to the game. For a game that is a “looter shooter” where 99% of its replay ability comes from that loot it makes no sense making over 1/3 of the loot next to useless in the 1 activity where god rolls actually count. Also how are any new players meant to ‘git good’ with special weapons now their ammo is so scarce? This is an ill conceived and badly executed.

        • All I’ve seen so far is vigilance’s wing team shots and people running away from every gunfight just to team shot lol

            Boring weapons buffed, fun weapons nerfed. Bungies obsession with primary weapons and teams handholding is bizarre.

          • Same here. Haven’t seen an increase in camping/teamshooting that other people have complained about. The ability cooldown increase is very subtle, but does just enough to make a worthwhile difference. I noticed I need to sharpen up my crit shots, especially when finishing off a weakened player — can’t be as sloppy now. I like the reduced special ammo in Comp. Still not completely sold on the meter thing, but maybe I’ll get used to it. Collision is a really fun game mode and it’s nice to see variation with the special ammo crates. Overall, really liking the changes and it feels like a solid refresh for the Crucible.

          • Am I the only one seeing how afraid everyone is? Nobody wants to take a primary duel without 2 teammates behind them. It feels like nobody wants to actually play the game in this meta. Just hold hands

            • now if we could nerf the warlocks spamming tredling, like I get it some brain dead people paid 40 bucks so they can have the game play itself for them, but unloading a magazine and the other guy can still go through the entire rift animation ? kindly delete yourself

              • Ability spam is still completely oppressive. Last match, i was busy running away from threadling spam almost the entire game. This game just aint it anymore. Atleast for me, somone who likes to win by outplaying and outaiming. I guess the pve people who love mayhem still have fun with this games pvp atleast :)

                • It's horrible. Only good change was to abilities and special ammo. The population is going to tank once everyone realizes how much worse they have made it. And I'm a top 4% KD, but I am done with this game.

                  • Tbf the special ammo system is very "artificial" and feels like a band aid I much rather prefer crates The 15% ability cooldown penalty is fine but abilities now deal too little damage, Stasis crystals are trash before and now they don't even tickle Not a fan, but the primary gunfights are indeed a breath of fresh air

                    • I'm only a few matches in, and I don't see any real scarcity in special ammo. Honestly I don't understand how anyone thinks that dying to receive special ammo was ever a good idea

                            Well so far, my team looks like a bunch of -blam!- running when the lights go on. While the other team looks like they’ve had combat training. I don’t know who to follow because they all just go in different directions and then get slaughtered. 🤷‍♂️ They edited a common household bug🤦‍♂️
