Too many players want the game to be the version that’s in their head. Its Bungies game and we are along for the ride. If you enjoy it then play it. If you don’t play something else. They simply won’t ever please everyone. Look at something as simple as leveling. They have you level every season and people cry. They remove leveling and people cry. This logic applies to every single aspect of the game. FTP players bash content they’ve never played or complain about what’s free to begin with. Console players insisting the cheating is equivalent to what PC players deal with. Players that left the game ages ago that show up regularly to spew venom about a game they haven’t played in months or years. The unhinged that think a higher guardian rank or KD gives them the right to mock other players. The toxic forum dwellers that attack anyone who enjoys the game and says it openly. A wise man once said… “You’ll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy” He obviously was referring to the Bungie forums. It’s a game not a life choice folks.

I believe Bungie did it this way on purpose. They are cleaning house of the negativity. Forcing players into one of two choices. Quit or continue playing. They are letting this game die on purpose. There will be no destiny 3. They’ll start from scratch with a new game and new player base. A game in which they are able provide realistic goals with a dedicated server and newer engine. People forget this game is 10 years old soon.

I totally understand Bungo for not wanting to interact with their community, it's a toxic unmanageable mine field, one that they have 100% curated and encouraged. I also understand them trying to set expectations towards future content, it actually makes sense from an interaction standpoint. What I can NOT understand is their total lack of comprehension toward their seaming uninterest in the player base that has a vested interest in the game and only want what should be expected from a so called "AAA developer" running a "live service game". The biggest kick in the balls "to me" is the fact they would come out and publicly state that making content is too hard and people don't respect the work the have put in. I'm pretty sure that making content isn't as hard as they want us to believe it is, given the amount of Everworse crap we see pumped out every season, that combined with the lack of interactable new content for their so called "live service game" and I'm honestly insulted by the comments posted in their SOTG post. It is abundantly clear that they only want to sell people crap until they realise there's no real reason to keep spending on a game that is actually going nowhere. I'm fully aware that the game is aging and that people can "over expect" things that may be too much, but in the case of, again, a so called "live service game" the lack of input into the main areas of the game that are supposed to hold players attention and interest is past disturbing and entering down right laughable. Will I continue to play Destiny 2? Yes. Why? Because I still enjoy parts of the game and continue to hold out hope that it will provide something that I can interact with on a somewhat regular basis. That being said, the current state this game is in and the obvious direction it's taking makes that hope seem pretty forlorn.

Forums have always been a hotbed for hot takes. It gets intense, and stays that way. Any social media manager knows that and sifts through all the hate messages to find the golden nugget of constructive feedback in each one they can take and add to an algorithm that tracks sentiment for each emerging subject. No sense in actually getting emotionally invested in these comments. That's just crazy making because you're seeing the unfiltered passion of so many kinds of people that all need vindication right now because it's so intense for them right now. Obviously I'm not referring to everyone, but it's always enough people that it feels like it's everyone.

a SOTG is supposed to talk about the State of the Game you dweeb. They said -blam!- all about the actual state of the game. Empty promises about content for PVP and Gambit that they've been saying for YEARS with no tangible results. [b]THEN THEY WANT TO BLAME US?[/b] How long are we supposed to sit here and have them shovel bucket loads of cash into there pockets and give us NOTHING? They have a job to do and what happens when you don't do you job? You get reprimanded or let go. This is the reprimanding part before people let them go. The world aint sunshine and rainbows. If you mess up you deserve to deal with whatever comes with that mess up. Bungie has been messing up for years. Time to let there asses hear it.
