Question: what do I do if "The source files could not be found?"
-
Oh boy... We have a couple of options: Administrative Command prompt: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup sfc /scannow DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore sfc /scannow REBOOT Administrative Command Prompt: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth If that doesn't work, you need to do a windows install / repair: Download WIndows 11 ISO image from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11 Follow instructions for Windows 11 repair here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-perform-a-repair-upgrade-using-the-windows/35160fbe-9352-4e70-9887-f40096ec3085 Sometimes the install will prompt for a repair vs an install, but just make sure you check the option(s) to keep your personal files and apps. That will keep it booting normally post repair / upgrade.

Got this message after the first sfc /scannow: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
