Holy crap stop experimenting with iron banner
Just make it normal control, or hell even clash!!!! I'm tired of these dumb gamemodes. This new gamemode now requires you to play like an absolute moron. If you dont play ultra aggressive to the point of literally putting yourself out into the open, you just explode. Not to mention other players see exactly where you are, an usually just hide from you, and wait for you to explode. YOU GUYS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE A GOOD PVP GAMEMODE. STOP TRYING TO BE "CREATIVE". Stick with the crap that everyone likes. Team deathmatch (clash), or zone control. Keep it stupid simple/keep it simple stupid!
Also not to mention this gamemode is just another ability spam gamemode which is so unhealthy for pvp.

1 RispondiOnce teammates start feeding opponents, its a wrap. I think the best thing for Iron Banner and QP is to remove SBMM and bring back Control. Clash (in any form) is crap and will always be.

I like that they rotate the modes. There’s players that hate control and those who want it every IB so they need to offer other modes.

2 RisposteEruption is the BEST DESIGNED GAMEMODE IN RECENT MEMORY IN ALL VIDEO GAMES. If you think that modes that promote stagnant gameplay is a good gamemode, you're worse at game design than the guy that made Halo Infinite

1 RispondiI personally enjoyed regular control iron banner. Its simple and sweet, if you had a good team then you rolled and if they sucked? Gg next and save yourself time from having to deal with a terrible team.

3 RisposteI totally agree. I was just talking with my buddy last night about the same thing. I went on a five streak and then got rewarded with death because I didn’t want to push up and face three people at the same time lol. This game mode is so dumb. Instead of rewarding you, for being on a streak, it kills you!

3 RisposteEruption was loved by good players when it was first introduced. The difference between then and now is SBMM was added. It’s like playing a 6v6 $10,000 tournament every game now. I’m not sure who enjoys playing games like this every single game in what is supposed to be a casual game mode.

2 RisposteI like eruption. I think it adds some interesting gameplay. Increases ability frequency and allows for massive point swings. Being down 30 points isn't a death sentence. Getting a kill streak rewards you with a super and a timer that requires you to get a kill. Keep killing and stay alive. Get killed as the VIP and the other team gets a big point bump. It cuts both ways. It's like clash on crack and I'm here for it. Had lots of really tight games and very few stomps.

Same goes for Trials of Osiris. F*ck Zone capture. It's so annoying when you wanna 3v3, losing and the point literally spawns on the enemy's side next round. Just give us normal 3v3

4 RisposteYup. IB just needs to be clash. None of the other gamemodes worked out. The only gamemode that might work with IB is where you get a kill and need to gather the medallions of the enemies you killed. If shoot to loot worked in it 🤣👍

Season after season they give us this proof.

1 RispondiAll I ever got really saw people asking for was alternating Clash and Control. Rift, Eruption, whatever the Cabal thing is called that I didnt bother with... IB lost its identity with D2, and this other stuff isnt helping it recover. In D1, me and a buddy would play nothing but IB the whole week it was live. No PvE. Now I dont even play in a whole season most times.

I dont agree with telling bungie not to experment with pvp but do it in the labs before you make us suffer though it. Personally this gamemode is just unfun. You know what would be nice, Mayhem Control/Clash/Something. that game mode is hetic af and total fun

The team balancing is crap, there's no consistency. I only like IB control personally, and I hate that the triumph requires wins because I almost never get a IB winning streak it'll be a win then 3-4 losses usually. - I need like 29 wins for the IB triumph, I hate even thinking about it, I think it should have been points for kills or capturing points and defending them.

Eruption is only bad because of Sbmm. Last time it was around, it was incredibly fun and the only difference between then and now besides the meta is the type of matchmaking being used. In fact, the metas aren’t even that different considering the strength of sidearms during that season.
