Change Raid "Sherpa"
and they say PvP community is toxic....
Can we take a moment to consider these "raid sherpa-runs" ... posts looking for guardians who have never completed the raid to join a boss cp, then be told to stand in a corner and shoot ads ( hardly different to a damn public event ) , only to be stripped of their raid virginity with no understanding of what just happened then kicked to orbit with a new weapon.
mmm, seems like a real hard effort on the sherpa's end... all they are doing is tallying up carry numbers and leaving a distaste in the whole PvE community.
This is in contrast to PvP, where sherpa's must take a new-to-trials guardian through [b]7 wins[/b] before they are rewarded a sherpa run. this requires commitment.

That's why you look for fresh runs that say teaching, a good sherpa will make sure everyone understands what's going on, but if you just want a free easy clear, you look for Oryx CPs and I tip my hat to them because trying to explain raid mechanics to new players or non-endgame players must be migraine inducing , I couldn't do it

1 RispondiPersonally, I feel throwing newbies into the deep end of the pool is the best way to learn. Ad clear should be for people who have earned it - people who could do the encounter blind folded. Being nothing more than ad clear teaches nothing, and hurts newbies in the long run. Anyone who says they'll ad clear with less than 10 clears, or without proving they can do every role proficiently does not get an invite.

Not trying to give them a pass because it's still a pretty crappy raid experience all around. Also, it should require a full run to count as a raid sherpa

Bungle can do only that much to protect from other players, especially under specific circumstances such as yours. E.g. post for a fireteam with “New, have read a guide”. Come prepared! Often if I host a raid I open up with “If anybody would like to try or practice a new role, this is the place”. Good luck!
