As others have pointed out Natsuki Subaru is a “Neet”. There’s an upcoming episode that delves a bit into his background that shows why he is the way he is, and why his initial response to waking up in a fantasy world is excitement and happiness, and why he hasn’t shown any desire to go back home ( at least so far ), despite the endless pain and suffering his current situation has presented. Needless to say, he was a very unhappy child, who longed for escapism.[/i]
