IOW, something is only real when you, I, or others AGREE that we are having an similar experience, and that something is a part of that experience. So If you simply refuse to agree.... I can't prove anything is real, including myself, to you. Its why psychosis, gaslighting, long-term solitary confinement, and the sort of mind-control you see in cults are so dangerous. You can either take away someone's sense of what is real....or manipulate them into believing that something is real that is not in truth. But in isolation, there is no way that I can know for sure that anything that I'm experiencing is real...or even if you are real and not something I'm dreaming or hallucinating. Ironically, this is what the new Matrix movie deals with head on. The movie is uneven and misses the mark on what its trying to accomplish. But it is NOWHERE near as bad as the critics want to make it out to be, and is why I stopped paying attention to movie critics years ago.
