Should Bungie bring back the SRL (Sparrow Racing League)?
Gonna keep this short, I feel like bungie should re-introduce the SRL and either happen on weekends like Trials or every few weeks like with Iron Banner. It would open more content to players who grind out everything the first day of reset each week and I believe it would be a great addition to the D2 experience.

Obviously, bungie needs to fix the major issues with the game before they can start to think about this gamemode.

I loved it, it was so different then the other D1 activites and thus highly enjoyable as a great break from the normal grind. PLUS, we have all new SLR gear showing up in the Tower just this week! I for one am thinking of getting the Eververse set, grabbing my Micro Mini sparrow and heading planet side to race around! If only it had a [b]HORN[/b] and did [b]TRICKS[/b]! [EDIT] Actually I bet the haters are the ones still plastered to the Forklify of death or the evil Blades of Doom. There was more then a couple races I was winning and then lost horribly due to those baldes and yet I loved them!

2 RisposteI’d say yes, if it featured some unique weapons & armor as rewards. new sparrows of course, as well as shaders, emotes, etc. The maps would have to be new. Something on Europa | Nessus would be nice. I’d also like to see some new sort of mechanic aside from the speed boosters. Maybe figure a way to add weapons into the mix, so we can blow people up. Maybe objects on the map we can pick up and throw at others to kill them like in PvP.

Modificato da J_v_K: 4/22/2021 6:04:33 PMBungie do not even have to make new tracks, they can just use the four that were in Destiny 1 during Age of Triumph and say that they are using the same Vex Tech that is used for Trials and Crucible to explain why two of them are on worlds lost to the Darkness. Personally I would love to see it return during the Dawning like it was brought back in the very first Dawning during Destiny 1, prior to Age of Triumph. I would then like to see it be a regular part of Destiny 2 with Amanda Holliday offering bounties and it could even offer tier 1 pinnacle rewards (+1 power) for doing it weekly.

No! They have plenty of other issues that really need work before they devote any resources toward the SRL. After that I'd change my vote to yes.

1 RispondiWaste of development time. Get the core reward system ironed out first, crucible matches/strikes made or reissued, then move on to arbitrary game modes like racing.

Bro they can't even fix simple glitches or take sunset weapons out of the loot pool. What makes anyone think they can handle another game mode?

7 RisposteTechnically no, but it doesn't really matter at this point knowing they went against everything they said this game was supposed to be... "A new game" See, when Activision was around we were actually getting (new content) and since Forsaken we've been getting a hell of a lot of content that is nothing but a time filler and then it's removed. Then there is the D1 content they have been adding and yet to come. So it really doesn't matter what they do anymore.

2 RisposteSo. I would love to see SRL come back, but not at the cost of other things in the game. In contrast, there are plenty of things in this game that I wish never existed and Bungie could've focussed on giving us SRL instead. Unfortunately low effort cash grabs like the Dawning, Festival of the Lost, etc... are much more cost effective. It's highly unlikely we'll see SRL anytime soon.

Yes I need more racing in my looter shooter that relies on RNG so I have moments of no ammo in my shooter game.

SRL was fun in short bursts. Honestly, I’d rather see combined arms or rift.

I remember at the end of races waiting for people to finish, Gays would be humping sparrows. Teams would ram sparrows that was just sitting there and the sparrow would blow up. loads of Guardians blowing sparrow tunes all different for 5 minutes everyone hated that. Sparrow Rage in races where people got pushed off cliffs. Oh yes plenty to hate about racing providing people remember.

Sadly it's a no from me. SRL is a mild short term attraction and I suspect unless a LOT of effort was put in to modernise it, then it would be a waste of time. There are way more higher priorities for Bungie to focus on, I'd leave it as a rose tinted memory personally.
