Genuinely scared to play pvp
My two month suspension for lagging in crucible is about to end, and i want to complete the seasonal challenges i was unable to do during it, however, knowing iron banner, im probably gonna lag every other game getting matched with people in asia and receive another suspension, or even a ban. I don’t understand why im expected to improve my internet during the two months, ive done everything i can to improve my internet, except for buying better. Its not a matter of me bot wanting to, i literally can’t. I just don’t understand the suspension for lagging in this game, why can i be completely locked out of two of the three core game modes because i lagged on p2p servers. A problem which would be fixed if we had dedicated servers. I really want the 4000 bright dust from completing the seasonal challenges, but considering the amount of people in my house, im probably going to lag in a game of comp and just go back to being suspended. I know they want you to take the time to improve your wifi, but the suspension just made me lose all motivation to play the game, and this season was the least i played out of any season, including jokers wild and warmind. Honestly stop locking people out of core game modes for two months at a time just for lagging, or only make it for comp and trials, the only two game modes where there is actually something on the line. Just wanted to vent because I know no one actually cares about these forums.

Just so you know they no longer permanently ban for poor connection, it’ll just be another two month suspension.

4 RisposteOk. OP - I've browsed this thread, and I believe I see the crux of the issue now. You are cabling into a wifi extender and... buddy... I dont care what the manufacturer says, those things are all hot -blam!-ing garbage and utterly useless for gaming. It might... [i]might[/i] be ok for watching youtube and whatnot but it [b]will not be good enough for online gaming.[/b] You have a couple of options. 1. Buy a long-ass ethernet cable and a bunch of cable pins, and run the cable discreetly to wherever the router is 2. If the router is on the same circuit as wherever your console/pc is, use Powerline Adaptors. You could always do a combination of the two... but it doesnt matter what your internet package is. You could have 69GB up and down and plugging into that wifi extender will still bone your connection. You need to stop doing that bud, thats whats doing it. 20 down/5 up is plenty.

3 RisposteLook at getting powerline adaptors, if you dont know what they are look then up on goggle, they will gove you a wired connection anywhere in your home for about €30

There are plenty of other offline games. The hundreds you play with should not suffer for your Walmart internet.

Dedicated servers wont fix your cruddy connection. Thats not how it works, if you're dropping packets now, you'll still be dropping them on Dedi's and warping all over the place.

6 RisposteNah. Stay out. Im sick of playing against people like you. Ruining the integrity ans structure of the game. (What little there is) you cause others to lag since its p2p. You slow dowm engagements and cause extra deaths. Im tired of it. Fix your internet or stay the hell out.

If you can’t, that’s fine, but there are things you miss out on, and this is one of them.

1 RispondiAt least for the purpose of the challenges, try to play only at low usage hours for your shared accommodation. Or talk to them, explain, and come to some arrangements. But, honestly, 4k bright dust is not worth your time to complete, to worry about.
