Red Death as its own, independent weapon is still 100% canon within Destiny's universe and wasn't retconned by the introduction of Crimson in D2. So this begs the question: when, if ever, will Red Death return, especially if engrams of it are still out in the wild? Perhaps Crimson is just a diet sister-weapon to Red Death, akin to The First Curse and The Last Word? There is also the issue of the Red Spectres, which were the prototypes of Red Death. I think an exotic quest like Presage (I'm not saying every exotic in the game will receive the level of detail and design that Dead Man's Tale received, but it would be amazing if it did) would make for an incredible return for this iconic exotic.
