Sunsetting is so stupid. We don't need it. BUNGIE DO SOMETHING.
The only reason bungie is sunsetting everything is because they have no more ideas. They ran out of content.
Bungie wants people to grind for stuff they already have, that's good.
That's why I stopped playing; what ruined it for me is the idea of sunsetting, and the fact that bungie keeps making the game worse, and worse.
And I know there will be bungie fanboys saying stupid crap, but guess what: no one cares.

It's like Bungie wanted to have a rotating list of seasonal equipment but in a move [i]very much[/i] their own, they decided that every player [i]had[/i] to play those weapons instead of letting them choose to do so. Bungie has, thus far, shown they hate player agency in their game they advertised as being "play your way".

I’m mostly on board with sunsetting. I don’t think I entirely agree armor should be sunset. But let me say this. If they’re planning to pull the same garbage they pulled this season going forward, I’m not ok with it. Tell me, what in the actual hell is the point of re-grinding my god rolled gnawing hunger? Aside from ill-gotten longevity for gameplay. I already have a great roll sitting in my inventory and they want me to grind the EXACT SAME GUN all over again just to make it relevant for another year? Here’s a better take, when weapons are brought forward like that, just update the damn season emblem for the people that already have them. They put kill counters on them right? Why should I throw away my 10,000 kill trust to get the exact same thing in season 15? Sorry. I’m just ranting at this point. I liked the idea of sunsetting to get SOMETHING NEW.

Why is it I farm the current nightfall get a weapon and then that weapon I can only use it for this season? I just got a good roll for me from the current nightfall and can only use it for two more months. Come on I got it in season 11. Same thing with my old Ghunger, I need to reacquire a gun that is already in my vault, WTF, same with the raid weapons I thought they were immune from sunsetting. I need to reacquire my GOS and LW guns???!!!

What we won't do is use a weapon where half the scope area is an etched glass beer mug....Or a high impact AR that shoots in all four corners of the map....False promises now there is a good name for weapons bring brought into the game for sure....

1 RispondiWhat gets me is, we are going to grind for weapons we already have, look at GH if you have one from season of the joker, it's sunset at 1060 but if you get one from this season it's set at 1360.... This is what they are going to do? Sunset our God rolls just to grind out the same gun same roll just a bigger power number.

sunsetting is a product of bungies neglagence as they let the power creep too far creating HEAVY meta weapons such as recluse and others like it sunsetting allowing players who feel like the only way to do things is with OP gear. we dont want overpowered gear but we use it because its readily available and will clear the endgame content with ease. Yes we could just use other guns but why would you deliberatly use a gun that is not as good as your currently equiped one. sunnsetting is important and most of the people who dont want it wont be around to apreciate the good things that come from it. Just my take on it as a day one player, i have put the game down and taken breaks from it because i didnt like the state of the game at that time. Sunsetting has given me a new purpose to go and find new guns and perks that i enjoy using and i dont feel that in the future i will HAVE to use a specific set of weapons to have peak damage.

Putting caps on weapons don't bother me honestly. My problem is the grind for the newer weapons and gear. From my experiences with this game I've had bad luck when it comes to getting God rolled weapons. Not only that but I don't play every day. I work a lot. So bad luck and limited play time makes grinding for good things pointless. It'll take me between weapon's whole time in the sun to get the God roll to never getting it. Either way you look at it it's a waste of time for me.

I have been playing games like Final Fantasy XIV for three years now (I took a break from D2 btw because I was bored of Season Of Drifter too) and the fact that people like you complain is kinda dumb on this subject Let me explain. In an MMORPG (Even if I don't consider Destiny 2 really like an mmo and more like a looter shooter). Every expansion and patch. Your old gear becomes obsolete because thats how the system work. You do raids, dungeons,etc... The fact that Bungie is doing this isn't new. Its a thing that exists in other mmorpg and looter shooter. Just pointing that folks are crying about stuffs that existed since awhile..... Also, I am tired of Mountaintop/ Recluse. You can still play with them in PvP but forget about it in PvE. Its time to move on to new gear. Like it or not

I think it is just an excuse so they do not have to add vault space. One of the many things players keep asking for. They do not want to add it so this is why sunsetting is a thing. You look through your vault everything is now essentially useless. This is the reason for sunsetting. They are just saying otherwise because the are stubborn about giving more vault space.

I’m sure someone has said it before but in my mind, get rid of white, blue, green and purple weapons all together. Make a single loot pool of weapons that are able to be leveled up and have new perks unlocked as you level them. Weapons 2.0. Wouldn’t that eliminate the need to maintain the massive weapon pool they have right now? That is the excuse that’s being used for sunsetting is it not? Just my thoughts.
