Bungie has *ruined the balancing in crucible. (I mean, like, they straight-up wrecked it). The auto-aim for linear fusion rifles is game-breaking. (It's D1 Mythoclast bad). It allows players who have sub-optimal builds/skills to demolish people in 1 hit by doing nothing more than aiming 'kinda-sorta' close to a person, and shooting...once. It's unclear that one even needs to have their reticle over a persons' body to hit with a linear fusion rifle right now. I experimented with this to see just how far off of a person could be when shooting, and I was registering hits with the Arbalest while intentionally aiming near the person, but not putting the reticle over their body. Often times, there are easy counters for high damage weapons. For example, with a gun like Jotunn, one can shoot the person, stagger them, and this makes it difficult for the to get a shot off accurately. (IMHO Jotunn should likely be nerfed as well, but I digress). However, with the LFR's, the auto-aim is so over-the-top, that a person can get a shot off while being staggered, and if it's anywhere near you, you'll die, because you don't need to be remotely accurate with LFRs. Crucible needs to be rebalanced...today.
Moreover, the matchmaking in survival is completely broken. It's not uncommon to be immediately in a 1-v-3 match because Bungie is matching 3 stacks vs. 3 randoms and...boom...the two randoms quit after one round of a survival match. The penalties for repeatedly quitting in competitive aren't merely severe enough. A 30-minute time-out...come on Bungie. In one sense, the current level of rage quitting in survival is understandable given that the three-stacks are all running Arbalest/Jotunn, but at another it makes having even a slight chance of winning moot.
I was hoping that when Bungie left Activision, that they'd start to build multiple game modes that are enjoyable to play, and they'd move away from matchmaking algorithms that favor stacked teams, and continue to push modes that lead to frustratingly bad games, but it seems that instead they've simply tried to create weapon classes that merely require a pulse to operate.
Personally, I'd suggest a boycott of the game until they instantiate *real fixes in their matchmaking, and nerf linear fusion rifles, and maybe even provide us with ways to complete certain bounties that don't require aimlessly getting wrecked in survival mode for...hours.
I'm not the best player in the world, but I'm certainly not the worst. I've been playing Destiny since D1, and unfortunately the crucible is the worst that it's been in years.
If you are considering playing this game, I'd suggest investing your entertainment dollar elsewhere until they adjust the game. As is, it's no longer worth playing.

I'm fine with it. I just adapt. I'm still doing well, I don't think things are getting that bad. Lol.

2 RisposteDon’t understand the overreaction to Arbalest in the crucible. Since it’s release it has never been a good gun. It’s not a good gun now. The only reason so many people are using it is for a quest that requires only 125 kills and will be over quickly. If you aren’t using it you’re at an advantage.

3 RisposteThis games crucible has always been nothing but one shot weapons and no skill hand cannons. Since shadowkeep, this game has the biggest laughing stock of a “competitive” playlist of any shooter to date
-
3 RisposteThey should have kept the quest to competitive

20 RisposteModificato da Unstoppable_Screeb: 12/13/2019 12:08:19 AMFirstly, Arbelest has 61 aim assist, there are many many sniper rifles with higher aim assist than that. Secondly, why are you entering team survival and then griping about being matched against a 3 stack? Thirdly, you need a whopping grand total of 125 LFR kills for the quest, something that most people have done easily within two weeks and have moved on 💁♂️

2 RisposteOr you could snipe. Or learn how to strafe. It isn't hard.

1 RispondiI just recorded a clip of being headshot by the new throwing knife when it was extremely far to my left. This crap has insane tracking and Aim Assist
-
1 RispondiMeanwhile the optimal way to snipe has been to skate around like a meth addled squirrel tapping your scope button to lock onto a head and hip fire for instant and easy headshots for how long now? Naaah it's linear fusions - a weapon type that's been hilariously underused for a long time now - that are the problem, totes.
