Season of Undying as a stand alone product isnt great.
I've been seeing ALOT of hate towards this season and I didnt quite understand why. I love Shadowkeep aside from a few community issues. Theres a ton of stuff to do and I thought ppl were just being assholes.
Then it was brought to my attention that if you only bought the season of Undying and didnt purchase shadowkeep, the only content you got was Vex Offensive (which was alot of fun but the season finale was trash let's be real) the battlepass content and Leviathans Breathe. Also armor 2.0 but everyone gets that even free players so I guess you can count that. I'll be honest ppl have every right to be angry. If you compare the content from this season to past seasons it's not even close. Bungie you need to seriously consider giving ppl who only bought the season pass a discount on the next. That is if they even want to play the game anymore after the complete nothing burger they got this season.

Season of the Undying on paper is worth the price, with getting all of the items on the season pass being well over that 10$ price mark alone, but it certainly feels lackluster since the events were pretty stale overall.

I think they need short bursts of activities that keep it interesting and encourage engagement in various game modes. There is a ton in the game. But once you saturate, there becomes a very narrow focus. An example could be each week having a grind offering for an 2 year old eververse offering. Each week this rotates to a different legacy event type (escalation protocol, forge, strike, etc). In the end, mmo's are all about giving players something to target. End game gear rolls are too limited per week to be that target. Use other approaches to break the monotony of the end game grind.

WTF someone would bought just Season content? You either play destiny or you dont? Whats the point of buying some tiny piece. The first thing you would buy is actually Moon thing not some shitty season wich was abviously suck.

I think this seasons content was built around shadowkeep, similar to how season of the outlaw was built around forsaken. I would like to believe that the next 3 seasons will actually have content since theres no dlc to coincide with their releases, but we wont know until we know.

Imo Shadowkeep should have come with the season pass, maybe they could have charged 20$ for the season pass with Shadowkeep. I'm on a break atm eventhough I got to almost 4000 in ranked this season lol.

1 RispondiThe moon as the “new” destination planet was reskinned. Props for the Raid and Pit. Both good additions. Overall worth the money but nothing overly fantastic. Pretty lazy Development if you really dig deep.

1 RispondiIf I should describe the launch of Shadowkeep with the Season of the Undying in few words, I'd say: "Good ideas, really poor execution". I really have no expectations neither hype for the next Seasons. Shadowkeep seems more and more just another cash grab tactic from Bungie. And many of us have been fooled again.

5 RisposteAccording to a post made by bungie, the reason the content is so thin is because they were busy working on raid content. Personally I think they should only do 1 raid a year so they improve the quality of other content.

I mean, seriously? What did you expect from Undying? Bungie literally made a roadmap prior to release showing exactly what would and wouldn’t come with Undying, it’s not like they acted like it would be packed with content. If people who didn’t buy shadowkeep really wanted content THIS season then they would’ve dished out for shadowkeep, that was the main attraction.

2 RisposteI like how everyone forgets that season of the outlaw came with forsaken as Undying comes with shadowkeep. Every season after forsaken also got more substantive. BA brought the forges Drifter brought the prime reckoning loop Opulence brought meneagerie Each subsequent season had more to offer than the prior because it had more development time. Now, I’m not blind to the fact that bungie has help on those seasons so it will be interesting to see how it plays out this year. But, based on how they stated they restructured teams to account for the loss of those other studios, I’m hoping it will follow the same trend

1 RispondiThe [i]major[/i] issue is that Bungie consider last year as [i]too hard[/i] and unsustainable..... yet 50% of the content was handled by Activision's studios.... (Bungie were mainly responsible for Season of the Drifter..... [i]You're welcome[/i]) So...... expansions are too hard..... the annual pass was too hard.... that leaves eververse..... and season of the undying.... Yikes

9 RisposteAs a season pass only owner (didn’t buy Shadowkeep) the worst thing is that the season title require Shadowkeep armor set. talk about hardcore up selling your product. The moment I realized that I lost the desire to grind the Vex offensive for other requirements.
