Framerate on Console is abysmal
I have an xbox one X and run at 1080p and still have ridiculous frame drops, especially in raid boss fights and crucible. I would love to see a frame rate counter so I can laugh at how low the frames in this game drop, its hard to believe that an FPS can run so poorly and with such problems, not to mention the terrible server tick rate that has people constantly dying behind walls.

Wouldn’t stress too much. About to abandon the current gen in a year anyways. I personally am ready for more powerful consoles. It’s been long enough with consoles that are basically moderately spec’ed 2012 era PCs.

Only issues encountered are others with laggy internet connections.

1 RispondiThe whole console vs pc discussion is fun and all, but it hasn't been thos bad to be honest. Bungie changed or patched somethimg with the release of Shadowkeep that is litteraly game breaking. I can live with framerate drops during ep, or the new massive ep like modes. But Having framedrops while scroling through menu's in orbit, has nothing to do with console limitations, it's an engine thing. It's super freaking annoying

5 RisposteHey Guardians, my frame rates on my Xbox X is pretty stable running open world and stuff. But when it comes to the Forge, Gambit, Strike & Nightfall boss encounters, Vex offensive and so on the drop in frame rates are noticeable. Even ads-ing with a snipe (when zoom value is 45 and above) results to drops in fps. I wish there where at least some options for console players to adjust the performance. I would gladly “sacrifice” higher resolution for a more stable (even if it is 30 fps) performance. ✌️

The whole games been running like trash since this festival started. Hopefully once it’s over it’ll go back to its normal horrendous level of slow

That, so much that. Can’t change mods or go in menu to consume boons or changing weapons or gear after a game started without the frames going on max 0.1 per sec. It’s really bad. That’s considering they made this burn affinity to supposedly address it. Bungie people should watch Silicon Valley.

Lower resolution to 720p, if that’s possible on Xbox? I know it can be done on PS4. With a modern TV, it will scale up and the difference will hardly be noticeable. TV. Is it set to “Game” mode? Most, if not all (?) TV’s have special settings for gaming purposes - my Bravia uses another set of hardware in this mode. Again, not familiar with Xbox settings, but if there’s an option to scale up resolutions - turn it off. Better to let the TV handle any scaling. I’ll edit the post if I find more options to alter.

I agree with you though, the frame rate lately has been bad. For consoles, for example, we want games with higher frames per second (FPS) - at least 30, but preferably 60fps or higher. Your tv speed also affects speed, and is measured by its refresh rate - measured in Hz. You want a tv with at least 120 Hz for gaming and sports.

I have cross-save enabled so I can play with my friends on Xbox and can't stand switching back. It's soo bad, borderline unplayable. Most won't complain though because they are use to it and don't understand how bad it really is. Mediocrity has become the standard for consoles, its a shame. Let's hope the next generation is better!

24 RisposteOn pc it sucks as well, if you have a 4 core cpu you get drops into the 30fps area in the same scenarios that you get the fps drops. But at least it's fine if you have a 6 core or more cpu.
