D1 consitently lost players all the time, and D2 is doing the same but it's much worse at adding new ones. It's a formula for slow death. Anyone that argues against that is either ignorant of the registered user data or out of touch with reality.

They lost 50% of Forsaken players when Black armoury dropped. If they lose a further 50% when Shadowkeep drops, I think they're finished. Activision must be looking on with glee 😆

Only if theres enough demand. The franchise will end with D3 + dlcs. Shortly after Bungie will unveil there next IP.

There are already new weapon and armor models we have already seen in the ViDoc, but that’s not why shadowkeep will be great. Transmog is coming so how important are new models actually? What we are really getting is an mmo game, with armor 2.0, artifacts, new activities and dungeons. It’s gonna be great! Player base is going to skyrocket. Free base game... I already know people who are itching to get their hands on the free download on october 1st.

Same. Everyone screamed that it was Activision who was getting greedy but now we see its Bungie pressing for more money and ruining the game. Never wanted a company to go bust as much as I want Bungie to. Not to ruin Destiny but to teach other developers not to get greedy and actually listen to their fan Base. Luke Smith is just a moron overall.

I will never purchase another product at full price from Bungie. Why pay full price for half-assed reskinned and rereleased content...? I’ve already purchased half of the moon that they are releasing at least twice. Actually, I went back to play D1 about a week ago for the first time since D2 released and love it. It’s a better game all around. D2 is just Luke Smith and companies effort to make Destiny theirs since all of the original leadership and developers left during D1.

That's what I plan on doing from here on in. Downloading Destiny dlc when it's free.
