bungie please make the minibosses and bosses and a little more animated!
the AOE stomp is passed played out and kinda cheap really.
lets get creative with enemy attacks. every boss doesnt have to be a big slow brute with basic AI.
the hangman especially was a relief to fight because they had different attacks
lets give them a variety of attacks with different speeds..maybe even different attack patterns based on how much health they have taken.
Its time for us to fight guardian enemy NPCs now too!
random: one memorable fight in a videogame for me was in kingdom hearts fighting serphiroth..dude was quick and had different attack patterns.

2 RisposteDon’t even get me started on IMMUNE
-
So nerf shotguns is what your saying.
-
So nerf fusion rifles
-
8 RisposteSOME stomp is fine. Having EVERY boss and miniboss stomp is lazy and obnoxious.
-
Tune down the radius and adjust the physics to match the size of the enemy. But don’t get stupid and let the bugger fling you across the map just to be insta killed by a wall.
-
AOR stomp is the only thing they know. They are too lazy. How dare they call it MMO.
-
15 RisposteStay the -blam!- away from big things that want to hurt you. Problem solved.
-
😈😈😈😈🤣🤣💀~bungie
-
could you imagine if the Valus strike in D1 had knock with all his bullshit bulletsponge health?
-
6 RisposteYeah bro so people can drop a well in front of it and DPS with out a challenge
-
yes pls bungie ,make a masochist boss that loves get hitted without try to kill
-
8 RisposteI've found that the slam attack really only is an issue in specific scenarios where you might be forced to get close to the character (Within slam-trigger range) and that basically being just Reckoning T2/3. Outside of that one section in that one game-mode, I don't get the fuss about the slam attack. In terms of giving bosses new attacks, there will at least be Hive boss types in Shadowkeep that utilize some different attacks. We actually have a preview of this with the "Broodlost" Hive Witch in the EAZ.
-
1 RispondiAs much as I'd love to see better enemy patterns... I remember things like the 1 second Riven kill. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah. I don't think they can do much honestly. They need to be nerfing things. Power creep is bad.
-
1 RispondiFair point, I always thought it was weird that a hydra could ground slam you, THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY F*CKING LEGS! XD
-
Just working as intended, you just suck scrub
-
also giving them a shield in the middle of the fight is annoying. almost any d2 boss has that
-
5 RisposteI had some ideas of at least giving each enemy race their own attacks Fallen: Grab an enemy that gets too close and smacks them on the floor a few times (Hulk style) before throwing them at another enemy. Vex: Leak out large amounts of radiolaria that will do massive amounts of damage Hive: Create explosive runes around themselves that will blow up if an enemy stands in them for too long Cabal: They can keep the stomp Taken: Infect you with a Taken infection that will do damage over time and spreads to others.
-
This wont change because they're not capable enough to develop better mechanics. These are no longer top tier skilled devs. They're lazy.
-
Bungie: Thank you for your Feedback. I am pleased to inform you that more AOE Stomping from every creature is in ShadowKeep. Thralls and Dregs will be able to Stomp and knock you hundreds of feet away so that you fly off the map to your doom. We have also weakened your back shield plates such that backing into a wall will insta kill you. If this happens when you have been stomped, you explode and kill everyone in your team within 50 meters.
-
You know the game is good when you're crying about stomp mechanics now. It's a good "problem to have"
-
Let us not forget the taken ogres with their built in tractor cannons that can push you out of bounds in a mere instant. They're just as terrible. I miss the old eye ball beams. Those are now only on regular ogres.
-
I hate stomps, but let's not forget the limitations on dps when a boss goes immune, its ridiculous... how many times have I wasted a super or my last shot of heavy and have it wasted. Raid bosses, I get it... but strike bosses, unless it has a physical shield, it doesn't make sense
-
1 Rispondisimple solution, lose the trench barrel perk, it'll be like when we lost the shot-package perk, it hurt but I'll deal, then take stomp right of the game, that's how much a hate the stomp effect
-
Don’t think it’s gonna happen it seemed like shadow keep bosses are revived old bosses with a different take on how they work I can only assume the enemy’s are gonna share a lot of the same attacks maybe mix and matching bits here and there but fairly similar design otherwise
-
One reason I had hoped to fight Uldren when Forsaken was released was because it would have been a unique fight. And they wouldn't have been to able to justify a stomp power for him.
-
I want something cooler. Imagine if the boss just grabs you and punts you across the room.
