My question is will they upgrade the game engine for next gen console and pc and incorporate D1 into one overall “DESTINY” game at a reasonable cost.

With Shadowkeep, D2 already has one aspect of D1: the moon. Maybe that’s the plan for the fall? Slowly absorb D1 into the game.

I would pay $60 for D1 and D2 to combine. Would love to play all the older stuff.
I would pay $60 for D1 and D2 to combine. Would love to play all the older stuff.
I would too if it was upgraded for next gen and pc. Also they optimized the hell out of the menus and zoning. Bungie needs more programmers who can do inventory and connecting their world.

Next gen comes with far better hardware, so Destiny 2 (hopefully just "Destiny") will have a significant upgrade on next gen. I think starting with Shadowkeep we are going to see more and more D1 content implemented into D2.

Well according to Luke Smith's interview with Jason Shcrier its likely the exact opposite. He said they're not looking to bring over a bunch of D1 stuff and want to work on D2 and fleshing it out more.
