We had all of the exotics in the first month and it was endless bitching in the forums until forsaken was released. So instead of giving you all of the toys now and us bitching until fall, we’re getting a little bit at a time.

The exotics drop rate (or any gear drop rate, for that matter) has [b]NOTHING[/b] to do with infusion. You have no clue what you're talking about.

I was talking about infusion costs and you replied to me with exotics drop rates and now you're implying that it's me who don't take the time to comprehend what I'm reading? Yeah, that's really the case here, anyone can see that. SMH

Okay, now that I've got my keyboard instead of tapping on the phone here we go. I used exotics as an example of the larger picture. A picture that I went into detail on my original post where I mention the loot pool and progression as a whole. You're saying that Bungie is using infusion cores to artificially extend the grind. The truth is yeah, they are. They looked at what happened in Year 1 and saw that everyone burned through the content, had all the weapons, armors, shaders, sparrows, etc within the first month and that they had nothing to work towards for months. So the forums became a flood of complaints about having everything in the first month with nothing to do. What I'm saying is that without the cores, we would be right back in that situation. We would have every weapon/exotic/shader/sparrow/ship on the grind to max light. Then when we've reached max light with everything unlocked, the forums will once again become a flood of idiots crying for something to do. Is the current drop rate for cores a bit excessive? Maybe. But I would rather have the extra time to work on getting infusion materials than to go back to the mad rush that was the first year of D2. If I don't get all of the unlocks from the armory or from the Dreaming City, I don't freak out. The only time that I get annoyed is if I miss full curse week due to work. Could they give us extra options for cores? Sure, but they have to balance it out so that it can't be cheesed. Then you're stuck with the problem of fully kitted guardians just face rolling in Iron Banner. Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. I know that if you pledge vanguard vs the drifter, that you get an extra core per week. While it doesn't seem like much, a free core is a free core. There are currently ways of getting more than two cores per day. I had a whole stack of the consumable which gives you a core for killing a major. I used them and had enough cores for master working all of my guns. Oh and about the not comprehending thing. I noticed that you saw D2Y1 and thought that I was talking about Destiny 1. So I'll spell it out for you. DESTINY2YEAR1. If I was talking about Destiny 1, then your entire argument goes out the window. Unless you actually spent the HOURS farming venus for that one material to infuse that ONE GUN/ARMOR then have to repeat that on the moon/earth/mars, stop talking now. Badass Gaming did a video on this. Skip to the 6:00 mark to see what I'm talking about. TLDR; While it's not as good as Destiny 1 Year 3, it's entirely better than Destiny 2 Year 1.
