Yor is dead. But, there can be multiple Dredgens. The drifter is a dredgen, that we know for sure. As to the question of if he actually uses hive corruption the way Yor did is up in the air.

WAS a Dredgen
-
He still is, not like you can stop being a Dredgen. That's the reason he was looking for Callum, he wanted to get all of the dredgens together so they wouldn't be killed by shin. If he wasn't a Dredgen why would he want to protect them?
-
Why would not be able to stop being a Dredgen? It's literally just a group.
-
Think of what the Dredgens do and are known for. They use the darkness to make themselves stronger. It's not like you can just say "Hey, I'm not gonna do this anymore. Take the corruption and the title away" the vanguard even calls him a rouge lightbearer. Plus, if he had left, there would be no reason for him to help try and stop shin from killing them.
-
The "rogue lightbearer" thing has nothing to do with it. And yeah, why would he not be able to stop? Uldren's corruption, for example, was only temporary, so it's not unheard of.
-
Uldren also died and was resurrected a guardian. That's what took away his corruption. Not time
-
Wrong. The corruption was gone before he died. It was literally taken out of him to open the door that let the Voice of Riven into our realm in the Forsaken campaign. Then we killed the Voice. Then Uldren.
-
Got me there. Even so, we're getting away from the point here. The drifter is a shadow of Yor, and the shadows carry the title of dredgen. Thus, he is a Dredgen.

-
But he doesn't follow them anymore. Why would he still be a Shadow if he's no longer Shadow-ing?
-
How is he not shadowing anymore? He's literally harnessing the power of taken and hoarding a large amount of motes of dark. What's more shadowy than that? Also, if he wasn't a shadow anymore he should care about the other shadows nor should he be afraid of Shin.
-
He is harnessing the energy through technology. He isn't corrupted. By your logic, Mara is more of a Shadow than he is. And in regards to Shin, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". If Shin wants revenge the actions of the people who did things in the past, in this case the Shadows at that time, he wouldn't necessarily care if they stopped following the group. They still took part in the past actions. How better to help protect yourself than by fighting against your hunter with the other prey? That doesn't mean you have to rejoin the pack.
-
If he's dead, why is Drifter so afraid of him?
-
Oooops. I was thinking Shin. Never mind.
