Allegiance quest story hints:
So the season of the drifter blog post details something to do with the thorn quest.

So. Vanguard vs Drifter in the Thorn quest. Anyone smell the possible rose next to that thorn? Just me? Let the speculation begin!

6 RisposteIt’s a tough choice to be honest. My Titan is my main and the one they go with will definitely be the one i personally want most, but I don’t know what to decide. On one hand, I want to be the cool, dark renegade willing to use darkness for the purposes of the light, but on the other hand I want to be the noble defender of the city who fights against any form of darkness at all costs

2 RisposteI think it will be the same reward regardless, just different npc lines throughout! There is a free to all exotic quest as well; unlikely that will be thorn, but I hope it is i.e. old content is free!

2 RisposteThey need to stop making exotic handcannons be the focus of lore. (Saving all the good lore ideas for handcannons). I like handcannons and all, but it seems like all the in-depth lore is about them

1 RispondiHopefully this has world implications but I have a feeling that choosing the Drifter for that week will mean you complete the bounty doing things like Gambit or killing guardians in Crucible and choosing the Vanguard will be more PvE based. You’ll complete it by doing strikes, public events etc. Maybe this is a way Bungie is trying to give players more of a choice of the activities they do due to some people not wanting to play crucible, gambit etc.

I want to do titan for the vanguard because story wise it makes sense, and my hunter to the drifter. BUT i want the lore from the drifters side RIGHT AWAY and since i am a titan main i'm taking him through first and i don't want to wait for my hunter to get the lore....Help

1 RispondiI think the Allegiance quest and the Thorn quest are 2 different quest lines. They just both become available on the same day.

Would be cool if you got rose for the vanguard and thorn for the drifter. Definitely make it a new interesting quest.

So glad this quest is character based, my Titan threw his lot in with the Drifter, while my Hunter is a noble Vanguard Scout and is far more wary around him. Definitely interested in seeing both sides of this, although not sure that this choice is connected to the Thorn quest, roadmap just shows they release on the same day
