First, let's discuss balance. I'm sure I'm not the only one in the game who believes that skill should be rewarded, whether it be with a weapon or strategy. Take sniper rifles for example- a weapon with 2 shots in the crucible, and it takes skill to 1-shot people. Now people are going to argue "but what about shotguns? they 1-shot and even retards can use them" well consider that you need close range for that and if you're smart you'l watch your radar and make sure u dont get that close. It's 'countered' by making good decisions thus a balanced weapon. Now for all you guys talking about how 'balanced' this jotun is, lets do a comparison between this and another exotic energy weapon - the fighting lion: 1. the FL cannot 1-shot people. 2) The FL is very difficult to use efficiently. 3) The FL's explosion radius is quite small compared to other granade launchers. Now let's also compare the Jotun to a run-of-the-mill rocket launcher (which is a heavy weapon), idk bellowing giant. 1) they both fire an explosive projectile at more or less the same speed which can 1-shot anyone in the crucible. 2) they are very precise. 3) They have comparable explosion radii, though the rocket launcher obviously has a bit of an edge. 4) Jotun's projectile distance is easily more than most rocket launchers This gun is running rampant in the crucible at the moment. It takes no skill to master this weapon, it's cheese, easy 1-shot kills, and if you die you gucci because tada~ you get 2 shots back to get at least 2 easy kills. I'm calling it now, nerf this f*cking rocket launcher (because that's what it is), either put it in heavy slot, or reduce it's damage, but I'm no game doctor, just another player who's crucible matches are being ruined because of this thing, so do what needs to be done. Oh and another thing, good luck side stepping this jotun if your back's against a wall OR the rocket lands at your feet. Peace~

People want this out of all guns to be nerfed??? The projectiles can literally be avoided by strafing.

An easy fix would be to put it in the heavy slot. Where it deserves to be. You know, like most of the one shot kill weapons.

That’s how this community has always rolled. If something they don’t like kills them, it’s OP and needs to be annihilated.

No more nerfs I’d just like to see the tracking toned down a bit.

Shotguns I do think are out of hand, Bungie needs to either tone them down or make every other type of special weapon be able to at least compete. But the Jotuun is a ridiculous weapon, and it should 100% be nerfed is some way. When people start to only rely on their secondary weapon, and not even bother with their primary then you know you have a problem. I see a lot of people complaining about Luna’s and NF, but really, these weapons are high risk high reward weapons. Not only are they very difficult to get, but if you can’t activate the Magnificent Howl Perk, then the gun is basically Trust. Sure people may pay to get help with the quest but if they aren’t good enough to get it by themselves in the first place you really think that their going to be hitting three straight HS every time?

My favorite part of this post is all the people saying that Jotun is crap and it's perfectly balanced in PvP and then you go and inspect them and they have OEM and Jotun equipped, then you go on their Destinytracker and Jotun is the source of most of their kills and they still have negative KD's. Ya'll tripping so hard i love it.

Crucible whiners will complain when anything they don't use kills them. They cried about Telesto because it could counter dust rock and they would have to use that instead of Luna. Telesto was an exotic, now outdone by a few legendaries. The range was too much on Telesto, that is fair to say. If someone died to the void bombs, those could be shot and exploded. Jotunn will be nerfed, I think it probably is OP, but it's just another Exotic that will be nerfed. Exotic should mean just that, exotic.
