So after finally spawning the servitor this happened.
Long story short, we spawned our servitor. The other team knew so they backed out and sent me the message above.
Played many many games after that one and no luck.
Edit:- I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Update:- We just killed the boss and the quest dropped. I've almost stopped playing Gambit after what happened to me with these guys. Bungie really should look into this so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
Edit:- Alot of people are angry because I shared this. Believe me you wouldn't be so angry if this situation happened to you. If you ignore this, soon enough it will become a problem and people will talk about it in the forums. Also it might've happened to people who don't have access to b.net and in all seriousness ingame reporting does nothing.

It irks me that people get away with things like this. In game reporting, from what I can tell, does nothing. I've run into nightfall trolls before who kick you right before the strike ends, thus granting no rewards. Why must people ruin the game for others?

57 RisposteSee the difference between them and my fireteam is after we got our quest to drop we all agreed if we saw another spawn we would all sit and chill in the corner while the other team got theirs. That's the difference between a true guardian and a dick.

1 RispondiSimilar event happened yesterday when the servitor spawned for our team off randoms. The other team didn't bother to summon a prime evil. They instead chose to invade us as often as possible killing as many of us as possible each time with supers & sleepers. The servitor kept healing due to our deaths at each invasion. And, though we finally beat it with mere seconds to spare it was a total dick move on their part as far as I'm concerned considering how rare the spawn seems to be.

Is this like...common on PS4? Because I haven't seen this happen on Xbox as much.

3 RisposteThis is the problem with destiny 2, the rng and drop rates are so ridiculously BS that people get frustrated and upset and become extremely toxic. And it's not their fault, it's the game they're playing that purposely induces rage so players get addicted and will play more.

Someone posted a similar story on the forum. Sorry it happened to you. Might be unpopular opinion but I’m glad you posted this. Yes it encourages other shitty people to do it but at least people are aware that this is a thing. Hopefully Bungie finds a way to fix this

I've haven't seen the enemy team pull out yet but have seen my own teammates leave the match the second we spawn him twice the only two times I've seen this overly rng -blam!-ing boss

2 RisposteAs a solo player, in any pvp mode I keep an eye on the party list. As soon as theres a four man fireteam I leave If the space flight have not begun. Especially in Gambit.

I’m wondering if i should risk wasting a bunch of weekly and daily mission to get a higher warlock bond, which would result in only +1 overall light level or should i do the higher stuff first and then do my weekly and daily missions to fix my jagged edges, what would benefit me more? I really need to know before the reset. Thanks ;)

Sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately when a rare reward gets introduced into a casual competition, people find ways to exploit if they feel powerless to obtaining it through the intended method. I hope they find a way to re-scope the quest and reward structure to deter this kind of behavior. I'm glad you posted it. I think sometimes these tactics go through word of mouth before they get publicly recognized. Yeah, many will catch wind of this and repeat this bad behavior. The silver lining is that it will provide development data to support your argument in the long run.

Here is the problem with this post. While it breaks no rules as you haven't put the person's PSN on blast, you've also enlightened people that they can essentially cause others to not get the quest just by leaving. I think it's a good thing altogether though because if it's a big enough issue (And it's growing due to the spread of knowledge) Bungie will have to take action and change the requirement to make it to where people can't grief it so easily. Personally, I think this quest step should be changed. Basing a quest solely on low RNG is a little frustrating and while exotics really feel exotic now. I don't feel that a quest step should have lower chances of arriving than an exotic engram itself. To those of you that have had luck and gotten the meatball to drop AND killed it, congratulations and I hope you enjoy your gun.

2 RisposteI can't describe how truly scummy that is. And Bungie thinks it's a good idea to put quests like this into gambit? This surely wasn't the first and sure as f--k won't be the last. This is entirely on the presumption that people play by the rules. Which, going by Destiny history, very rarely happens. Robbing someone of this should be a ban-able offence. But we know Bungie's attitude to doing anything serious about people who literally ruin the game for other people. You're more likely to get banned for calling it out then doing it.

7 RisposteSo not only did Bungie lock this quest behind an extremely rare Boss spawn, but it's also straight up impossible to get if the enemy team just decides to dip out on you if it spawns.. How did nobody at Bungie see this as a problem?

i'll chime in and say their message to you was childish. I will say that's gambit though, they can easily come over and blow you up. However, I do wish (I already have it) the boss would spawn 5% more frequently. I want it to be rare, i want you to flip out when you see it. No I don't want everyone to have it after 1 weekend. If you are grinding for this, please stop hurting yourself. It's a chance. Maybe something like if you play 50 gambit games, you should have seen him about 5 times roughly. So that would actually make it a 10% chance. Rare enough for me.
