Edit: To clarify a bit, I’m just saying that they need to make the quest steps hard. Not stupidly easy like they did. This is probably the best HC in the game. The quest steps should be hard.
Edit 2: So a lot of people misunderstood, which is my fault. I didn’t word this correctly and I chose not to change it, which is my fault again.

2 RisposteI don't really care about the changes. The issue I had was that the gun is inherently tied to the campaign and yet the quest is crucible based. The gun is essentially a story exotic yet there's no story content tethered to the quest.

For those of us who were half way through the gambit portion of the quest when the requirements changed (unaware they were going to "change the rules") - does that only make my gun only half legit? Heck, I think when mine reset, it dropped from 3 kills to 3%, or some bs like that, so I had to work all over again to complete that step. I will say, I thought the 25 kills in crucible were a lot easier than the first invader kills in gambit.

Everyone is arguing about this quest step, meanwhile I'm chilling in the corner with my Thorn that took killing a tanky witch while also keeping the main boss alive, all while in a strike with modifiers that would hand out deaths like candy... 22 RisposteI don't have mine, but im legit......bungie said, "pay us 90 bucks, and we will give you Cayde-6's Ace gun"....I payed my money, but haven't gotten anything worth 90 bucks......Ive read the pre-order bullshit several times, says nothing about how I have to engage in endless quests to prove im elite.....I have a life, I don't rate my life's accomplishments using video games, I come here to slum and burn some time... For you ppl living in your moms basement, years from now, after you get a job and responsibilities, you will find out just what a waste of time trying to be "elite" is...

I got it the original way, but I have to agree that the first step was dumb...not just difficult but it pretty much forced you to screw your team and not play the mode correctly...I'm glad they changed it

It literally takes longer the new way than the old way. I defeated the invaders with a hand cannon in 3-5 matches. About the same or shorter than the new quest. Not sure why anyone is complaining.

I got mine by doing the invader kills on one character, and now my other two characters get to do it the new way(unless I just reacquire from my collections, and I fail to see the validity behind posts like these. Ok, so you had to kill 5 invaders(without precision shots mind you), whereas now people can kill ads...so your complaint is that now people have to kill more targets with a hand-cannon in the same amount of time it took you to kill 5? Let’s be real here. How of us “earners” backed up our Ballyhoos, Better Devils, and Ten Paces with the Sunshot? How many of us went all in on the invader kills and got them via precision kills? How many of us pre-shot the invaders with energy scouts/autos/pulses to knock the over-shields down on invaders before hammering them at close range with the hand cannons? Exactly. Get over yourselves. You, nor I, are any more special, nor did we go through any harder of a task to get the Ace than people do now.

The difficulty level barely changed, if anything it became harder because it took longer to complete that step
