This means that players should in no way be forced to do this side activity that should be played to "have fun" in order to get exotics and other end game items locked behind crucible.
I'm typically good at shooters, but because of my terrible connection to this game, and bungies lack of dedicated servers, crucible is nearly unplayable. Half of my shots seemingly do 0 damage, and when my shots do happen to hit the target, it takes up to 2 seconds fory damage to render. I have the best Internet I can possibly get in my area. This is why I hate crucible and can't play it, its just stressful when I'm not doing poorly from lack of skill rather lack of internet, and I just don't think it belongs in this game.
Please rethink locking end game items behind crucible play in the future, Its not fun for a large amount of us.
Btw, "don't get ace of spades then it's not a requirement" is not a valid reason. Everyone wants exotics, and the process should be fun and hard, not anger-inspiring and hard.
One solution would to just add alternate quest steps for both PvE and PvP to remove the annoyances from both sides.

21 Rispostelook man, i hardly do the raid, i mostly pvp, its my main focus of the game, for you, its clearly pve... you have your grindy raid stuff and i finally have a grindy pvp thing. and besides, youll be higher light before us pvper get there. and pvp has always been a part of destiny. iron banner was part of the main story may i remind you, that was no side thing, if we are gonna be like that, then the raid is a side thing... no, i disagree, pve and pvp are both the main focus of the game and casting aside one side for another is cutting out a whole group of people that enjoy it.

Use the Force! And have a Snickers. Try play during off peak hours. It'll lighten the network load, and you might notice a difference. Shoot until they're dead. Stop worrying about hit markers.
-
I mean, I hear you. But it's a part of the game, whether it's a side option or a main feature. If you're going to get a rare weapon, you should have to prove yourself in the different parts of the game to get it, especially if it's one of the better weapons to use in those parts of the game. The alternative would be only having weapons you can use for PvP and PvE, exclusively. That's not fair to either side, since they're missing out on the experience of using those weapons- regardless of whether those guns are good or bad.
-
PvP and Raids are main activities for me. Missions, adventures, public events, and strikes are side events. I am pretty sure at end game the 2 main activities are PvP and Raid, all the others are filler until endgame. Some like having PvP requirements, as resource gathering and other fetch quest are boring to us.
-
A. I do agree Crucible is a side activity B. If you have bad connection, that is your own fault C. Everyone may WANT to get Ace of Spades, but if you are unable to do so then you do not deserve the gun.
-
for you its not the main activity also for me its not....but for some people it is so don't act like your opinion is everyones because its not.
-
Every. Single. Time. Something is added. Step 2: Get certain number of kills with certain weapon in PvP. Every time. Ace of Spades shouldn’t have been a quest, in my opinion. That shit wasn’t broken. Our Guardian shot it! But of course, it was a quest. I was okay with it being a quest, until I found out you had to do Gambit. Gambit is a super fun mode, don’t get me wrong, but I dislike the PvP portion. And what’s the quest need you to do? The PvP portion. Then strike kills. Okay, cool. I like strikes. Oh, 25 precision kills in crucible? Wow. Thanks Bungie. I really love the crucible.

"D2 would die without PVP XD" It's almost like PVP is a massive resource drain that should be sealed shut and kicked down an unending hole. If time wasn't dedicated to slaving away to solving the broken elements we are so constantly stuck with, Last Word & Thorn, Wormhusk and One-eye, Vigilance and Graviton, all of which are immediately replaced by whatever filth rises to the top of the PVP meta garbage, and instead all this time was dedicated to making the game as great as it could be in the portions that matter, we wouldn't have this problem. It wouldn't be balancing two practically different game anymore, it's fixing one game. No longer are we crafting two endgames, we're crafting one endgame which feels consistent and has actual meaning to it aside from running whatever filth you need to pretend to be good at the game for once.
-
If destiny didn't have pvp I wouldn't play at all.
-
3 RisposteHonestly I just think it'd be better if we could grind out these exotic quests in private matches, Then it's not forcing people to play PVP for a gun that people will primarily use in PVE, and people can still earn them in matchmade PVP should they choose to. As for the other guns like Redrix's and Luna's Howl. I say keep those matchmade PVP only, they gotta have something to earn in that game type to make players experience the full game.
-
2 RisposteThey should be separate games, been saying this all along. They have nothing to do with each other pve vs pvp.
-
2 RisposteOh I see more people have fell for the carrot that bungie dangles in front of them. just delete the quest and move on. the git gud crowd will troll you til the ends of time and bunge will just laugh at you. Bungie doesn't care how we want to play, bungie only cares about what bungie wants. It just the way things are around here.
-
This poster must be new... PVP & PVE have always been intended to be intertwined within this franchise. Such is evidenced by the very first exotic quests ever released in the game.
-
4 RisposteThis game would die without PVP lol
-
How about they just hand us everything for free at the beginning of the game and then everything is optional? Then we'd really see how good their contact I'd because we'd never gave to do anything unless it was just that good. Bungie will never do this though because their content isn't that good. The flip side is we might end up with a game show judge as president in the near future if they do this though. Wait...

Modificato da blade329: 9/10/2018 5:42:05 PMWell, unfortunately, D2 game out of the gate focused on PvP. There's no doubt about it. Everything revolved around it and balance. That's why the gear was so lousy and tame. That's why space magic was neutered and everything made weak and slow. Bungie was thinking, "eSports, baby." It was a TERRIBLE design choice. Like it, or not, PvP is pretty important for Destiny. Due to the lack of content (compared with other games), PvP is counted on to extend the life of the game. That's why Bungie pushes with "friendship game". Playing with friends keeps the game relevant for longer without the need for more DLC content.
-
3 RisposteJust like with Malfeasance, you need to play gambit, but winning in gambit is just impossible.
-
I mained pvp in D1 and i'm starting to get back at it for D2 once the raid and everything gets boring pvp is gonna be all I do
-
Idk about you but I grind pve to have the best (MOST FUN aka I'm not a noob running around with grenade launchers and shotgun special) pvp loot.
-
8 RisposteStop making me do raids for rewards, and while were at it, screw nightfalls too. I want all my rewards from public events.
-
2 RisposteIf you want the exotic, you have to put in the effort. It's that simple man. It's a grind, and some of that grind requires crucible.
-
11 RisposteYou want good gear, you gotta put the effort in bud. Quit whinging.
-
6 RispostePvP is half of the game. Doing the PvP parts of the ace quest will take a bit of time, but it'll be even more satisfying when you finally get it.
-
Thank you very much, I have been saying this for years. Yes, I enjoy crucible at times. Other times it's just a grind for loot. But either way, it is and always will be side content. Major side content, my you, but side content just the same.
-
5 RisposteOr you could git gud
-
It’s not a “side activity”. People play it more than PvE a lot, and that’s cause playing against opponents with no brains and shit guns isn’t fun.
