4 Risposteas a PVP player i agree, i dont like PVE players suffering cause of crucible Bullsh!t solution?) separate PvP from PVe, we know they can do it cause they have done it b4 in D1
-
5 RisposteThe problem is that pvp exists at all. Destiny really needs to either make a pvp game or a PVE game, and literally nothing in between. I'd even say, rip the cancer that is PVP out of Destiny, and turn it into a game called "faction wars" based around a hero shooter system... You know like overwatch or something. Play as Cayde, Zavala, Ikora, Shax, Uldren, Mara, etc... Why, well, here's the thing... Shotguns.... In reality, well, "reality", the closest thing in this game to how a shotgun actually works is the fusion rifles, as far as range and spread goes... And a slug shotgun like say the "precision" shotguns, you could at least get reasonable accuracy and lethality at 50 yards. But because PVP exists in this game, shotguns are confetti launchers like "SURPRISE! FREE RHINOPLASTY!" Now if they were loaded with bird shot or something that's fair enough but buckshot these things are idiotically bad. At the very least, if you feel fairly confident you could hit someone with a beach ball, odds are they are close enough that there grouping would put most of the pellets into them. So really, shotguns should be much higher range. But they aren't. Because PVP. In all honesty what they should have done is had some weapons intended for Crucible and some weapons intended for PVE. Have shotguns and fusion rifles work basically the same way just put one in pvp and one in pve, where as pve doesn't matter, the charge time of fusion rifles grants some balance. But if they had done that then well, the weapon poll of the game would be pretty shallow. There is a fixed equation on how viable your pvp can be vs how fun your pve can be. It's why Anthem's developers are being public up front about no pvp content because not only do they not think it fits with the concept of the world to have the last best hope of humanity fighting each other to the death for fun, but because to have pvp as part of the math would take away all enjoyment from the pve experience they're trying to create.

PVP players are going to whine. Because that whining protects fragile (or overinflated) egos. The issues is that Bungie needs to grow a spine...and grow a pair...and ignore it. This game will FAIL if they try to tune the entire game to the prferences of Crucible players. You will simply get a return to all of vanilla Destiny 2s problems.

I whole heartedly agree! Once content such as weapons, gear, and abilities are released, they should NOT be adjusted, buffed, or nerfed. Doing so causes several issus to the game. ■ Impacts to players: It affects players negativley. Their characters will suffer setbacks and diminished features after nerfs. This has happened frequently for HUNTER gear and the invisibility ABILITY. Did any other character get a nerf for their ability? No, titans and warlocks got buffs to theirs. Regardless of the character or excuse for the nerf, taking away something that was there in the beginning changes the output of the content in the game. Now players will have to adjust to a different style of play. They may feel upset because something they enjoyed was removed due to the opinions of select people. Removing an ability or perk, undoubtedly gives other characters an advantage to defeat their dwindled down opponent. But that's the goal to nerfing -to tone down something and make it less advantageous. Thats not a positive thing for players that use the nerfed object, only the oponents that fight against it. This creates confrontation in the community and puts a dirty taste in the mouths of those experiencing the reconfiguration. Players then have to rework and learn different modes of play. These are all undesirable experiences. This reveals the next kind of damage to the game when content is changed after its supposed to be FINISHED and released ■ Imbalance and Corruption. Nerfing an ability or exotic piece for one character and not the others is deemed unfair because of the targeted action itself. Simply put and without trying to satisfy a justification that diminishing an ability was somehow needed, if one character has something taken away when the other 2 did not, this is unfair in its simplest form. Such a change automatically puts the other 2 characters at an unfair advantage because now the hunter for an example, had its ability drastically altered. ■ Legitimizing an unfair environment of imbalance. Players are influenced to follow the voice of power. If the controllers and the developers of the game put out their own statements and announcements that a nerf was needed (update patches), others will be influenced to follow their opinions. This gives some people the satisfaction that changes are being done in their best interests. The developers use their own BIASES to side with a selection of OPINIONS in order to make targeted changes to specific parts of the game. Changes that were unneccesry because the game was not literally broken. This is the the root of corruption; when members of the organization make changes to benefit themselves or a select group of players, in this case, "characters" in a game. ■ Continuing a cycle of releasing UNFINISHED content and imbalance. After bungie has garnered support from part of its player base, they feel its necessary to sustain the patterns of releasing DLCs, Armor, Gear, Weapons, Abilities and Environments and then deastically or partially CHANGING those elements in the game. Be it a Nerf, Buff, removal, the cycle of biased alterations becomes routine. The problem with this is that the act of releasing a game denotes that the product is finished and ready for release. That's why the process is on a time schedule. That's also why game developers hire testers and other employees to test and play their products to find and fix issues before its released. A buff or nerf reveals that the purchased content was unfinished, misleading, and a LIE. These actions point out a serious issue in the develoment workplace that should have been fixed years ago since Destint 1 ! If Bungie makes an excuse to support their cause for making a nerf or buff to anything, it reveals that the employees DID NOT create, test, and use good oversight to the work performed. This is the ROOT cause of all the issues with needing nerfs or buffs. For whatever reason, employees are not executing things correctly before content is released and this causes players or developers to call for changes to the game down the road. The simple truth is that games are not supposed to receive constant nerfs or buffs that cause such an imbalance to the game. Definetly not on the reocurring cycle thay Destiny has created. Battlfield 4 for an example is also a shooter game, and i have rarley ever heard of any nerfs made to weapons or gear that would imbalance or affect how characters perform. This is an aspect that separates good developers from bad ones. Although i understand EA DICE may have its own faults, Battlefield 4 is one of my favorites because of the fact that the game does not receive constant drastic changes that make a real difference in gameplay experience. Unlike Destiny. ■ Change is good but dont mistake innovation for unfairness. When changes to the game affect a targeted area and a select part, its hyporctical and supports poor sportsmanship. No matter the justified excuse for nerfs, if it helps one side and disadvanatges the other for competitive play, its unethical. I understand that change is inevitable and can be a positive thing but for this game, changes should ONLY be required if the game is literally broken and stops working. You can finish and test the game properly first bungie before releasing the content. That way you dont have to make excuses and imbalance the game for one side and create complacency. The accountability falls on you! ■ Policy Implications. Become more ACCOUNTABLE, Stick to your finished work!!!! Ramp up hiring for better testers and support. Allow yourselves adequate time to create and release the game. Making nerfs and buffs to armor, gear, abilities and weapons prove that you do not stand behind the original work and creation that was out in the game. It makes you a hypocrite. It also puts you in the realm of picking sides and points to a fixed or rigged game. My suggestion is to implement a new policy of ethics to not make adjustments to the game (nerfs/buffs to armor weapons, abilities, gear) unless the game is broken and stops operating. Stay out of player debates and remain fair and impartial to the characters and gear once the content is created and released. Let individual SKILL be the factor of competitiveness and not formulated abilities and gear. Find a way to make skill a thing for Destiny. *Clearly, nerfs are intended mainly for PVP so that is the basis of my post. I dont take this game that serious but what does bother me is the way bungie has continously engaged in the terrible execution process of this game and the way biased changes are always made at one point or another. This has been an issue since D1 and it starts from having no ethical policy in game making and few control of the employees who are supposed to make the game fair. From changing character abilities to the most recent weapon slot changes for the Forsaken DLC, the unfinished and uncertainty of released content is a huge problem for Destiny!

4 RisposteDid Bungie nerf Icebreaker, Black Spindle, Wotw and Gjallahorn because of PvP? Or was it because they were so powerful they became mandatory for PvE? Think before you post.
-
8 RisposteNerfs/buffs are endlessly required for balanced pvp which needs to happen. But the fact that bungie cant nerf/buff something for pvp purposes and leave the said item alone for pve is beyond me.
-
Pssssh, we’ve been saying this since vanilla. It ain’t ever gonna stop.
-
This kind of thing will always happen because people who are bad will just use what ever weapon their favourite youtuber tells them to. Gaming as a whole is dictated by doing the easiest thing to win by the majority of people.
-
Well if you've think about it then you would know Pve gets balanced too.
-
Thats why it should have been separate weapons for PvP and PvE
-
4 RisposteThey just need to completely go fortnite mode and separate pve and pvp completely. Standard guns for pvp with zero weapon perks on them so everyone feels equal. Then iron banner can be the one week where we can take our pve weapons into crucible. Problem solved
-
Dudes, Explosive rounds has been nerfed TWICE in the last few months alone. Better devils without explosive rounds is "BETTER NOTHING". Why would you nerf that gun for PVE? Oh, you wouldnt.....ahghrhgrghhgrgoddamnit bungie does it again
-
1 RispondiWe told them that this would not work but what does bungie & activison do they come up with even more garbage like gambit when had told them to separate pvp from pve but they didn’t listen so much for “ we hear you “ crap. So if they want destiny to go down the drain whole then it working
-
Lots of us keep repeating this PvP ruins the PVE sandbox and Bungie seem to focus all balancing around it...They seem to have this hard on for PvP like if they keep tweaking it then it will be the next fortnite.... Destiny is a Looter-Shooter they should remove PvP or just leave it to rot... What makes me laugh tho is when people moan they get matched against sweatys or stacked teams and stomped as its 6 vs 1 those pvp players reply with git gud or dont play pvp.... Gambit comes along and those sweaty's now have to by design go 1 v 4 and they get 1/3 shotted and they cry nerfs! these are the same people that have been moaning for the TTK to be lowered..... But they only seem happy when the odds are stacked in their favor.
-
20 RisposteNerfs will never stop unfortunately and poor Sleeper will be next 😢 Apparently getting shot in the head with a power weapon and dieing is OP... 😐
-
8 RisposteEverything PVE is dictated by PVP. Every Weapon, the amount of Ammo carried, Supers, & Damage Output is All geared toward, for, & by PVP.
-
just because its broken in pvp doesnt mean its broken in pve
-
9 Risposte-blam!- PvP seperate it from pve, yes we want it seperated
-
-
Bump. No more NERFS!
-
-
3 RisposteHunter boots was Nerf because of Gambit....the PVP/pve hybrid.
-
1 Rispondilike that will ever happen spoilt pvp players will never stop crying nerf
-
Please stop the eye rolling, nauseating use of lame fad words like nerf, meta etc and talk like normal people. We get it...you’re cool and hip
-
9 RisposteI doubt box breathing and ikelos weapons were nerfed because of PvP
-
9 RisposteOh yes, I forgot that Box Breathing got nerfed because it was so OP in PvP.
