It's unbelievable how many people "defend" the Dawning-Engram "grind".
I know I can get a hand full of Dawning-Engrams, but that's not the point!
The point is, that these Gamble-Engrams exist!
Tell me, so you like it to do 6 simple Strikes to receive with luck a golden sparrow?
Yes? meh... I don't!
I want to grind it and I want to EARN it.
I want to show people "ou sheet, dis dude did some serious things to get this sparrow, HOW CRAZY... nice one!"
It's [b]not [/b][u]satisfying [/u] to grind gamble boxes and receive with luck good things.
You guys know back the days in Destiny 1 ? Oh no... Wait...50% of you guys are new!
Back in Destiny 1 Bungie promised to NOT bring any ingame real money shop... Later on they explained us the reason why they brought it to us.
(The old shop did NOT lock EVERYTHING behind loot boxes)
The reason was to get a bit cash on the side to finance those little events, the little events you know today.
- sparrow racing
- the dawning
- halloween
etc.
Back in the days, you were able to EARN the stuff by DOING different things.
Now? You do simple boring stuff and you get loot boxes and with luck you get an exotic. so much WOW.
I believe in a gaming world with less loot boxes because I know there was a gaming world without before.
So do you?

20 RisposteI've already commented on the topic, so that's whatever. What i want to comment on is your edit: From that it seems your issue isnt eververse, it's rng. I say that cause you talk about doing something to get something specific, but even if everything she has was dropped during activities in game, you still not guaranteed to get that specific thing. Also, you're mis-remembering d1. D1 was mostly rng when it came to getting loot, there were only a few dedicated quests. The same as d2. The only difference between the games is we get more things dropped in d2 easier, i.e. exotics, legendary, etc. The only things we dont get dropped are ships, sparrows, etc. which are all with Tess. Which is cool with me cause that means we'll get weapons/armor for doing activities, instead of those. But now that's gonna change, so it'll be interesting to see how many of the 'down with eververse' people complain when they get ships, sparrows, ghosts, and shaders as rewards for doing activities.
