So, his testimony doesn't happen until tomorrow (Thursday, 6/8) but his prepared remarks have been released today.
So far, the biggest whoppers being reported are:
Trump was right about being told he wasn't under investigation on three different occasions, by James comey, now according to James comey.
Trump did not "pressure" James comey into calling off an investigation. According to James comey. He said what he said, but James did not feel that this amounted to what liberals screeching about impeachment have been reporting it as.
And comey himself could be prosecuted, by the way, if he did feel that Trump was committing obstruction of justice and he did not report it to the proper people.
I wish I could go back and find every comment on this forum saying "lolol he's gonna get impeached over this" and say I told you so.

8 RisposteI understand that the MSM spin machine does what it does but despite that, I can't believe that the headlines today aren't revolving around the fact that Russia had nothing to do with our election and that Trump isn't under investigation. Not to mention the fact that Lynch was the one that actually obstructed justice regarding Hillary's investigation. Instead, what are we seeing today? Headlines stating that Trump asked Comey, "I hope you can back off of the Flynn thing", considering he fired him and all. The other big headline I'm seeing is, "Comey thinks Trump is a liar". Are you kidding me? It's utterly ridiculous. To deny that there is an agenda being pushed at this point from the MSM is to be willfully ignorant.

2 RisposteNice synopsis, to bad it's not based on Coney's actual testimony before the Senate today.
-
Yeah he only proved the White House lies but Americans are used to that. And it looks like trump is the only one in the White House to not want to give Putin a HJ.
-
America just keeps smearing shit all over its face.

5 RisposteSo Comey has confirmed: •Trump wasn't under investigation at all •Trump didn't direct him to shut down the Flynn investigation •Trump didn't order him to stop the Flynn investigation HOWEVER •called NY Times fake news •admitted he had friends leak memo to press •Loretta Lynch obstructed Justice •Clinton campaign obstructed justice In other words, this was a complete and a total waste of my precious time.

6 RisposteModificato da NatalieBee: 6/8/2017 4:20:20 PM
Not under investigation by Comey or the FBI
Comey said, quote,
The Director of National Intelligence asked that I personally do this portion of the briefing because I was staying in my position and because the material implicated the FBI’s counter-intelligence responsibilities. We also agreed I would do it alone to minimize potential embarrassment to the President-Elect. Although we agreed it made sense for me to do the briefing, the FBI’s leadership and I were concerned that the briefing might create a situation where a new President came into office uncertain about whether the FBI was conducting a counter-intelligence investigation of his personal conduct. It is important to understand that FBI counter-intelligence investigations are different than the more-commonly known criminal investigative work. The Bureau’s goal in a counter-intelligence investigation is to understand the technical and human methods that hostile foreign powers are using to influence the United States or to steal our secrets. The FBI uses that understanding to disrupt those efforts. Sometimes disruption takes the form of alerting a person who is targeted for recruitment or influence by the foreign power. Sometimes it involves hardening a computer system that is being attacked. Sometimes it involves “turning” the recruited person into a double-agent, or publicly calling out the behavior with sanctions or expulsions of embassy-based intelligence officers. On occasion, criminal prosecution is used to disrupt intelligence activities.

I discussed with the FBI’s leadership team whether I should be prepared to assure President-Elect Trump that we were not investigating him personally. That was true; we did not have an open counter-intelligence case on him.
So while he wasn't under counterintelligence investigation at the time, Comey never said if Trump was or was not under criminal investigation.

6 RisposteDid you watch it or are you just gonna wait till a YouTube video pops up telling you want to think???
-
1 Rispondiwell I guess its back to the 2 scoops of ice cream outrage.
-
11 RisposteHis statement clearly said that he interpreted it as Trump pressuring him to end the investigation.
-
1 Rispondiit's a little early for you to claim victory on this when he hasn't given his testimony yet
-
3 RisposteWell the people questioning it seem to be taking it pretty seriously. This is just phase one. Phase two is either expand the scope of the senate investigation to include abuses of power by Trump or start a second one, phase three is get Trump himself to testify, impeachment comes once that dickhead incriminates himself by telling an indefensible lie under oath. Impeachment is political, this is about generating enough political will to get him impeached that it becomes inevitable.
