So Truth Was Nerfed Out of Existence
What is the point of taking the mag from 3 to 1? Why would anyone EVER use this weapon now?

I'm not usually one to cry about nerfed or buffs, but this was my first exotic. I took this thing into the Vault of Glass and kicked Atheon's @ss. So to see it become completely worthless is sad.

14 Risposte[quote]Why would anyone EVER use this weapon now?[/quote] How 'bout... because it's pretty much a guaranteed kill whenever you point it in the general direction of an enemy and pull the trigger, unlike other rocket launchers that have [i]at most[/i] proximity fuse OR tracking, but almost never both- and NEVER tracking to the level of Trueseeker? I once equipped Truth in the Crucible for a few Mayhem matches, just because it was there, and after a while... I put it away again because it just made me feel ashamed of myself. I picked up heavy, sat in a corner, and started shooting at whoever came in view... then picked up their heavy ammo and went back to my corner... waited for the next heavy round... rinse and repeat. I felt so [i]cheap[/i]. I wasn't even bothering to aim after a while. Just spamming Truth got me 8 or 10 kills per match if I recall. I just felt so dirty.

5 RisposteTo the idiots happy about this, Truth is an exotic meaning it earned that perk and using it meant no other exotic weapon, so there is no logical reason for the perk to be removed, other than Bungie is slowly killing the game to force players into Destiny 2. How about we remove the primary perk on NLB, or ammo recharge on Ice Breaker too.

In PvP the change does little. It was needed as it can follow someone around the map. However, for pve the change is ridiculous. But why use it for pve when there is much better.

1 RispondiNo logic behind the nerf. It's an exotic. It was created with the perks and therefore it's an exotic. Now it's just a weapon that takes up an exotic slot.

2 RisposteDont understand the fuzz about it. Its always been a pvp launcher. There are better legendaries for pve. In pvp it is strong bc of the heavy tracking and the ridiculous blast radius. Not that i think it needed a nerf but what was touched? Mag size? Really? All it does is basically nerfing the rate of fire which i dont think is too decisive on a rocket launcher.

The nerf was so pointless lol its like they were in the studio talking about matadors and self-heals and then the guy that made the thorn was all like "lets nerf the truth aye". I can see if it was only 1 shot for like 3v3s or just trials but in its entirety its just sad

Modificato da ITzTricky_x: 2/16/2017 5:27:12 AMIt gets 2 rockets in crucible on heavy pickup (tested), 1 in the mag, 1 in reserve . Given the awesome tracking it still has, it's still better than pretty much any legendary that only gets 2 rockets.

"Completely worthless." I'm disagreeing here. Doesn't change the fact that it kills just as easily. Reloading an extra couple times - and it's reload is pretty fast - should not be that much of a problem. Of course, unless you missed with a rocket fired from a launcher of high tracking, velocity and proximity. Or you're unlucky.

Can bungie even count? Bungie dev: one, uhh..., three, four They could have reduced the capacity to 2 shots, which would make it less appealing, but still useable. What were they thinking!?

2 RisposteWould somebody with copious amounts of time on their hands go ahead and list all the exotics that have been neutered since year 1 launch? Post their original stats vs current. I think it would be neat to see the actual damage done to them by these nerfs.

For pvp it's still an excellent rocket, just not a jack of all trades as it was. Regardless of the reduction it's still a high velocity and blast radius launcher with tracking and proximity. It'd be interesting if they added in clown cartridge to it imo.
