So Truth Was Nerfed Out of Existence
What is the point of taking the mag from 3 to 1? Why would anyone EVER use this weapon now?

I'm not usually one to cry about nerfed or buffs, but this was my first exotic. I took this thing into the Vault of Glass and kicked Atheon's @ss. So to see it become completely worthless is sad.

Modificato da AKS1: 5/18/2017 11:23:30 PMYou can tell Bungie though deeply about this change given they maxed out the Reload Speed stat when one of the selectable perks is FLARED MAGWELL, which now does NOTHING. They added Tripod as an innate perk way back in the "exotic update" in the early days. What would make sense if they thought Truth needed toning down would have been to just remove Tripod and take it back to 2 rockets instead of 3, the increase that Bungie decided to add in that exotic update. Instead, they've just annihilated it and incompetently tried to compensate by increasing reload when a selectable perk is to increase reload speed. Just a disaster all around. I can just imagine the numbers on usage of exotic heavy weapons in PvP after this. I'm going to see if I can find them somewhere, but the numbers graphed would have to look like the edge of a cliff. EDIT: I did some searches, and the 2014 exotic update actually did go from 1 to 3 with adding innate Tripod. So they essentially did remove Tripod to take it back to it's original 1 rocket but max the reload speed. I was mistaken in thinking it went from 2 to 3 instead of 1 to 3. However, this isn't 2014, and lots of legendary competition exists now. So to actually ensure Truth has a place in PvP in 2017, they need to restore the Reload stat to whatever it was and increase the mag size to 2. Perhaps 3 was too much, but 1 is obviously way too low even if that was the original mag size. 2 rockets would be fine even if it's a nerf from the 3 it had, but 1 just kills it. I've tried using it, and it was getting me killed. It's shameful that my legendary Tamarind and Titanium Orchid are now outperforming the longstanding king of PvP launchers. Now it's worse than Gjallarhorn in PvP, which is absurd given it's also the dominant PvE launcher, the EXOTIC Truth.

Yup, I'll take any void heavy over it for burn types now, the launcher has no point in pve currently, I can't recall the last launcher I received that only holds one round (exception to the dragons breath which is actually warranted due to how much it destroys with solar burn).

7 RisposteThere was no need to nerf Truth, it was a perfect. The tracking is better than on a legendary tracking launcher and it had 3 rounds, those things made it exotic. It wasnt op at all and in no way overused by the community. Majority of pvp players uses other exotic weapons to fill their slots anyway. Dont understand this nerf really :/

The reserve count though they should revert it back to holding 3 maximum rockets instead of 2. Truth's strongest point was the aggressive 90 degree angle turn homing missile + the ability to spam the rocket much faster than all rocket launchers with that velocity+blast radius. Currently it retains the aggressive seeking which was the main focus around Truth, the mag size and RoF+velocity+blast radius was the icing on the cake.

One rocket in the magazine, yet somehow I fit three rockets in during the reload animation. Bungie turned Truth into a Clown Car (and a SLOW one, too).

Ive been playing this game for over 2 years and the TRUTH is the heavy weapon of choice for me 98% of the time. Thanks for showing the community that if you don't like straight up pvp, that your expectations really don't matter. Its bad enough that you reserve the new and exciting armor/items for certain play, now your taking away the weapons as well. DO you really think peeps will take a one round rl into pve combat. I think we know the answer. Thanks for killing the TRUTH. Disgusted. (and so you know, the truth was the only damn rl that didn't look like a super soaker) thanks again.

Agree. What a bunch of garbage. What is the value of the weapon now? It's worse than all legendary rocket launchers. It makes no sense why Destiny would do something so stupid.
