Let me get this out of the way. If you own a dog lets say, and you raise it and care for it, then suddenly start abusing it, there's something wrong with you.
Now the thing I don't get: why do us as humans consider hunting deer, bears, etc as normal but the second someone dare leave their car without a window open on a hot day with an animal inside for more than 5 minutes, they deserve some extreme punishment for being so stupid.
Are domesticated animals somehow viewed as higher than wild? Just because they wont try to kill you at first sight? Sure if you shot my dog i would not be happy in the slightest and would probably sue, but that's only because i cared for it its whole life and grew attached.
In the places such as parts of Asia where dog meat is a normal food, its viewed as normal. Europe and North America though? Prison time. I just don't understand the cultural sensitivities for stuff like that.

The high majority of hunters don't hunt animals just to kill them. And a lot of the time hunters have a hard time with their first kill, as I've seen first hand. Hunters hunt because it's the most natural form of food gathering there is. You know where your food is coming from, you know where your food has been, and you're attached to that food like nothing else. I could go on and on about why people hunt, the point is hunting is not at all animal abuse. When it comes you having pets, especially dogs, the simple fact is humans evolved with dogs/wolves. We took wolves and we made them part of our society. Humans have an especially close relationship with with dogs because they've been a part of us for thousands of years. That's why in the movies, and sometimes even in real life. If a dog dies and a human dies, we care more about the dog dying. Dogs are nothing but faithful to their owners, and humans are filled with flaws. When it comes to other cutlers consuming dog meat, we see it as unnatural and disgusting. A lot of the times we see that and think, "I wish that person was dead" or "How could a person like that exist". And on the other side of the world people are consuming millions of tons of cows, but to a very large potion of Indians cows are very much sacred and should never be harmed. The point is there are many different cultures and viewpoints on this earth, people are different. People will always be different and that's why we will never have peace.

Wolves/dogs are intelligent pack hunters led by an alpha. Early man was an intelligent pack hunter led by an alpha.

Modificato da pValue2010: 1/27/2017 8:53:13 PMIt's really quite simple once you think about it... Dogs and cats were domesticated to be our companions. We see them as part of the family, so we have an emotional attachment. Not all cultures are the same. Some see dogs as meat, as $$$. To provide a different perspective, Hindus are appalled at the way we treat cows. We don't believe cows are holy so we think differently.

I completely agree and think animal abuse should stop. Example: micheal Vick and his dog fights. I wanted to beat the living shite out the guy.

2 RisposteWell, I'm against hunting in many cases, but the difference for people who aren't is that the dog in the hot car will be suffering, whereas an animal you hunt will (in most cases) die without much suffering as you have shot it. In the case of eating dog meat, it is because people in the West associate dogs with companionship and loyalty, so to eat that is wrong to them. Obviously in the East that is not the case.
