Old content is useless. It doesn't progress you in any way, shape or form. Its useless. End of discussion.
Edit: Holy shit, some people will defend this game to death. My point was that old content is useless if you're trying to progress. If you're max then sure, play Y1 content, whatever, its there and you paid for it.

Ikr I love destiny but I'm not going to get worked up over something like what you said. It's true old raids are obsolete for right now. Bungie has stated that they're going to bring back the old raids. Some people are just sensitive.

Run the old raids and turn the materials in for motes. That is progress even if you don't see it as being progress. Also y1 raids stomp everything we had in y2

Didn't say it was a bad raid just that its useless. You can do plenty of other modes and get more motes and use up less time.

Not true at all. The old content was the best of this game, saying its useless and pointless is ridiculous. Compared to the Y1 content the newer content hasn't been good at all. It was actually fun back then.. But Rise of Iron has my hopes up for the fun factor to go back up.

Are you inept or something? The old content is useless. There is no point in running the old raids or doing anything before Y2 because you cant progress while running shit like that.

Screw progression the game was actually fun back then. I still play now, but mainly only have fun while doing old content. The older guns are actually a lot better in crucible I've discovered. They are not useless though.

That's why achivements exist and other things that show progression (i.e. gamerscore, trophies etc..). Sure playing for shits and giggles is whatever but games are made so you can feel like you're accomplishing something. Games like this.

Beating all the raids isn't an accomplishment? Collecting the VoG weapons isn't an accomplishment? lol there's quite a few ways to feel accomplished in Destiny
