Personally, the exclusives don't bother me. I play Destiny mostly on my Xbox, but I do have it platinum on PS4 as well. There is 1 problem that arises with this exclusive deal though. And that is the time of Destiny 2, in respect to when the exclusivity actually runs out.
Once Destiny 2 hits, the original will fall away. Xbox users will not have been able to experience these crucible maps, strikes and gear that PSN players were able to. There's also the fact that grimoire is attached to these activities and gear. Once Destiny 2 drops, people are going to want to play that. Not grind away on a severely under populated Destiny 1 to get the strikes, gear and grimoire that we've paid for. Unless you have at least a 6 month buffer between the end of the exclusivity and the release of the sequel, not only are you going to upset a lot of people, but that's going to be a really shady business practice.
If you already intend on giving Xbox users enough time to experience this before you let Destiny 2 loose, then that's cool. But if not, you may want to consider that option. It would be awfully shameful of you to take Xbox users money for all the same content as PS4 users, but not release it to them until a sequel has been released. Bungie, even you should be able to see that that would be a piss poor thing to do to an entire console community.
So, add to the wish list, the ability to have enough time to enjoy the exclusives and get the grimoire and everything we paid for, before the game dies off completely when Destiny 2 is released.

Here's a quote that I found on Forbe's about the original exclusivity deal. I think it sums it up pretty well.
Still, the practice continues to rub me the wrong way. Either this isn’t a big deal, and therefore it really shouldn’t be thought of as a selling point. Or it is a significant annoyance, and one company is paying another to make a rival’s version of the game delayed or incomplete. Neither option is terribly good.
1 RispondiThe exclusivity isn't the big deal.....it's done all the time with all sorts of games. The most irritating part is the amount of time the exclusivity spans. Most games have a period of a week or a month...one or two years is quite a large amount of time to hold things back...six months wouldn't even be a big deal, that way we could enjoy the exclusives before they're obsolete.

1 RispondiNot gonna lie, saw the ROI viddoc and came on here looking for someone to convince me to preorder. Seeing the extended exclusives I've easily been talked out of preordering

22 RisposteKicking the dead horse, is an understatement with this topic.

3 Risposte"Timed exclusives until at least Fall of 2016." "AT LEAST" If people had read, there's ALWAYS been the possibility that this happens.

1 RispondiThis is a great idea I also hope that they don't keep the console exclusivity in destiny 2

Not surprised. Bungie doesn't care what they make redundant

51 RisposteThere does need to be a buffer though for the life of me I can't understand why there are still exclusives. Once the players are on ps or Xbox they aren't going to switch, that would mean loosing everything they've worked for. Sony trapped people on ps with the vanilla exclusives so why extend it past that? And why extend the TTK exclusives to 2017(unless that's been debunked or whatever)

I absolutely agree

47 Risposte
It would be awfully shameful of you to take Xbox users money for all the same content as PS4 users,
No one pays for content so no, xbox users don't get less for the same price.

6 RisposteYou make 1 polite topic and give 1 innocent suggestion and the people here just flock like lemmings to talk shit for no apparent reason other than just because it's the Internet and they can. It's quite sad. So many good topics and ideas have been drown out by stupidity and adolescent nonsense. These forums are supposed to be a place to talk to Bungie and try to make the game better. Not a place to harass and abuse people you don't even know. What's wrong with you?

Modificato da Deathmagick37: 8/19/2016 6:34:51 AMWe have so many threads about this topic now :D its hilarious...I even amde one where I analized Deej's answer about PS exclusives...Hell PS4 (some of you) players are pissed we are not getting them...has also to do with the fact if something is exclusive like maps or weapons it can never be a trials map say...or sold by xur...feeling me?

11 Risposte
that we've paid for
No, it's content that Sony paid for. You didn't buy any of it.

9 RisposteThey can't breach the extended contract. And the deal that says "1 year" also says "At least"... "Read the fine print"- Cozmo
