Anyone else catch a whiff of desperation when they showed the iron gjallarwing?
Title says enough? Does it feel like bungies is desperate for pre-order by offering this gimmicky crap that has absolutely no bearing on the game?
Edit: After reading through other people's thoughts I may be wrong for sure. The stream was pretty lacking in anything else so they used it for filler. And yes this planned pre-order bonus is better than previous pre-order bonuses.

I agree completely. My first impression was it looks like a total gimmick. honestly in my opinion it really doesn't fit at all in the style of destiny overall.. I mean sure Destiny's an over the top far fetched experience in the first place but generally the majority of equipment has been aesthetically pleasing and appear to be of functional design keeping in the experience that its set in a plausible distant future. However this is in my humble opinion just ugly grabby looking even the name oozes pre pubescent thirst and why does it have the same abilities as the EV-30 TUMBLER?? Looks to me like a dirty re-skinned turd.

Except the fact that the sparrow was leaked before any pre-order was available. So how was it a ploy if we knew about it before the pre-order was even there? How is them confirming it with a stream showing it in action (poorly) a ploy? You should learn something about marketing beyond how to spell it.

It was a car commercial. The SALESY intro really hit a nerve in a bad way with me. It actually made me nauseous. I detest sales and seeing that in a video game I love just made me sad. Also seems like the DLC will be garbage so they threw that in to entice naive people to pre order. I hope I'm wrong, I really hope I'm wrong.
