Pretty sure that image sums up my frustration and no I do not have a digital download.
First and foremost Destiny was a phenomenal game. Well thought out, amazing art, terrific voice actors (for the most part). That being said I am now a former player due to the wildly inconsistent nature of PVP. Unlike any other pvp game I’ve ever played Bungie rewards people for having bad internet or simply being careless about their setup. I’ve never cared about lag in other games much because lag was at your own peril. Take care of your own connection and you’ll have an enjoyable experience. And spare me the troll comments of “get good” and “Wahhh”. I get it. I’ve heard them all before. Those that would reply with sophomore comments are only confirming that they are unaffected by this. These are also probably the same people that are not only causing lag but twenty bucks says that they’re nat type isn’t even set to open. This post has nothing to do with skill. It has everything to do with consistency. I’m baffled that Bungie thinks its ok to pair my consistent green bar connection to red bars then think I’m going to have a positive experience. Its things like that that lead me to believe that Bungie doesn’t even play the game. Let the red bars play with red bars. If they cant then oh well but don’t make their lousy internet my problem. You mean to tell me you cant find a few other players in the northeast that have a good connection? Really? If you start a game as a green bar then go red you get kicked. Simple but not to Bungie. I can’t understand why they’re intentionally allowing their product to suck in an effort to make gameplay better for those that couldn’t care less about their connection. I’m done supporting those with poor connections. Stop being lazy. I’m simply writing this because being in a corporate environment myself I know it’s important to receive feedback from the consumer to make your product or brand better but that seems to be lost on Bungie which is why they’re losing a customer (not that they give a crap) I’ve seen more than my fair share of complaints regarding lag in forums and they encourage you to post comments yet I literally never see a reply from anyone from Bungie. It’s always a cut-and-paste comment telling you to reboot your modem, have you checked this on your router etc... like its your fault when you just eloquently explained how it wasn’t. The propaganda from Deej and other Bungie minions is everywhere but when someone brings up lag they absolutely never respond as though ignorance will make the problem go away. Id have a modicum of respect for them if they simply said “we understand it’s a problem and we apologize but we’re working on it”. That will never happen. As far as my setup is concerned I have 30 megs down 6 Megs up through Comcast. I own my own modem SBG6580 from Motorola, I’m hard-wired and have ports forwarded. I live alone and I neither download nor upload anything while I’m playing so all of that bandwidth is dedicated entirely to Destiny. My background is in IT so to be succinct I am absolutely positive it has nothing to do with my connection. I played the game for enjoyment now the game is completely unenjoyable because it’s entirely left up to chance. If I wanted to gamble I’d go to Vegas. I want to know that I’m either winning or losing a match based on skill not because someone has a worse connection than I do. I’m competitive by nature and ill assume you are as well if you’ve read this far. Not to say I like losing but at least if you lose to a more skilled opponent you can tip your cap and move on. Watch an athlete’s reaction when the ref gets the call wrong. That was me every game of iron banner this week lol Simply put I didn’t buy this game to let it infuriate me. Its no longer a source of pleasure but a source of frustration and Bungie literally couldn’t care less as evidenced by the last 18 months of their lies and dangling carrots such as the non existent damage referee. Another concern I have is that Bungie will change things at will such as skill based matchmaking from connection based matchmaking then lie about having done it or simply change the colors of what was once a red bar to a green bar as though we wouldn’t notice and assume we would simply say “hey look the lag has been fixed”. Consumers certainly don’t like being treated like idiots either so one can only be ignored, lied to and treated like morons for so long before they go elsewhere. You win Bungie. I’m not playing Destiny any more. I’m only one person so surely you wont care that your ignorance has cost you my money but I do encourage others to seek an alternative. Bungie is no different than any other large company. They only listen if it affects their wallet. If enough of us are fed up or don’t buy future expansions then they’ll listen and correct the lag problem. Until then good luck. Thank you for reading.

8 RisposteAgain another person confirming that pvp should be removed from any future game releases of destiny. Bungie take note.

You could have got $2 at GameStop for that.

5 RisposteBroke it down. Picture of broken disk. Compliments Bungie on game. Then goes on a tangent about his amazing internet. Hates crucible sbmm. Bungie is now a liar. Calzones > Pizza The end.

3 RisposteI personally think all the Crucible "fixes" these days are purely experimental to gather data for Destiny 2. It's the only logical conclusion I could come up with ☹️

1 RispondiPlease find a new "hobby". This one isn't working for you. You should prioritize mental health

1 RispondiAin't nobody reading that. Not because it's long, because it's one ridiculous wall of text. I don't get why people spend so long writing something just for nobody to read because they couldn't be arsed to use paragraphs.

i also suffer by bad ingame-connections provided by this company. not one single match without lag issues in the last two weeks. i wish bng crucible team would come to europe and play some crucible in the evening or at night, just to realx, not gettin salty. the next fact that bothers me is this ominois dmg-referee it changes outcomes of the same scenarios in the middle of the match. if this kind of manipulation happens, there is no room for trust in the system bng created.

6 RisposteModificato da zane: 6/1/2016 10:49:03 PMI am not reading that whole book, dude.

So in a few weeks, when you've cooled off, you'll buy another copy of destiny. More money in bungie's pocket. Good lesson, that'll learn 'em
-
6 RisposteI don't know what you wrote and I don't know what it was about. But what I do have is a specific set of skills. These skills make people like me a nightmare for people like you.
I'm an english teacher!!!
Dun, Dun, Dun!!! Now if you choose to delete this wall of text, that will be the end of it. But if you don't..... I will come for you , I WILL find you....... And I'll correct you!!!!!! Muahahahaha!!!

TLDR....but did see your picture and realized how pathetically immature and stupid you are.
-
Hey man, I see where you're coming from and all, but couldn't you just play PvE? Did you really need to waste a good game and break the disk just to make a point? I agree that the laggy players can be super salt-making, but from my experience on both consoles (I never use my ps4 because the place where it is has terrible connection.) red-barring kinda stinks on both sides. From the experience of playing as a normal red Bar for a week back in early april, and playing as a green bar normally, it's very hard to kill a red bar as a green bar and it's very hard to kill a green bar as a red bar. But again, I do agree with you to a certain level. I will say that I would LOVE TO have connection based matchmaking!!

Wow, do you want a cookie or something?

2 RisposteHey, that was your 60 bucks shattered. I don't give a damn beyond that.

11 RisposteMany people have already said it, but I think that it's worth repeating: If you want me to read an angry tirade that lengthy, try using paragraphs.

3 RisposteModificato da alghasfohsafovah: 6/1/2016 5:05:17 PMSo, let me get this straight. You broke your disc and posted a lengthy rant that took me about 6 minutes to drag my way through because you're lagging? I have an average (at best) wireless connection and don't experience these issues nearly as often as you make it out to be. Nevertheless, it's good that you're leaving a game that you don't like and that you're not forcing yourself to play it. Games are ultimately played for enjoyment, and if you don't like a game, what's the point of playing?
-
1 RispondiYou quit the game due to bad pvp? The game's best aspects are it's pve environment. The world, characters/creatures and ways you fight them. Destiny's pvp and BO3 have very similar pvp (guns, nades, supers etc). So if you want a balanced pvp go to BO3. But if you love destiny for its universe, interactions, lore and gameplay, you play pve, and then play pvp during content droughts or go to another game for a bit. I hate people that quit the game based just off of pvp (as much as Bungie focuses on it, because it needs fixing, Destiny is not a pvp focused game)

6 RisposteI had that router, comcast never would push any of the updates in the 6 years I had it. Trash modem/router combo. Got a better nighthawk c7000 modem router combo and now I have no issues with 2 xbox ones online at the same time, both open nat's, and 70/20 speeds.
